As you all may know , I have Mild AIS and low testosterone (199) when the average male has numbers something akin of 550 (on a scale that goes to 950 I think)

Now I was told by a recent internet tg pal that perhaps i should consider just taking estrogen and not any anti-androgens. So they told me this would allow you to keep your southern parts functional.

I don't think that is the route i wanted to take but I was just curious as to what happens if you just take estrogen only.

I am unsure of what would happen but, I would strongly recommend asking a medical professional.

I wouldn't do anything to keep the bottom parts functional, I wish my T level was like 44 or something as someone else on this forum.

yeah and also i understand getting rid of body hair and letting it appear more fine and smaller and white, can't happen without an anti-androgen.

Those changes won't happen till years down the road. Just a suggestion, but you might want to look at the more immediate future.

actually my hair has already started to fade from my body, it is more noticeable after shaving and seeing all the empty spaces.

I agree. Tinkering with things without the proper medical supervision isn't the best of ideas. Just make sure you find a competent doc and not some dumb quack otherwise you are basically self-medding with "medical supervision". I went through that and it was really screwed up.

It depends on the person. In the "old days" the HRT regimen *was* generally only estrogen, but often prescribed in very high doses so that it could double as an anti-androgen. Estrogen does in fact suppress testosterone to some degree, but it varies in effectiveness by person - one woman I know is on very low dose E only (no spiro) and has a T level of 35, another is on a very high dose of E plus a super-high dose of spiro and still has T levels around 600.

(The woman who is on E-only also had a starting T level around 200, like you. But she reported that her "functionality" was impaired very early on - she's got fantastic results in terms of breast development, body fat redistribution, etc. but it stands to reason that if she's THAT responsive to estrogen, it'll also work on her downstairs the way higher doses do for others.)

So you can try, but there are no guarantees. Like anything in life, I guess. :)

To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

She did end up getting an orchi very fast, yeah. It was that or basically see no results from HRT at all, besides stressing out.

I'd cut em off myself...

I think I would to.... -prepares the bathroom for an emergency orchi  ;D-

My T levels are a little higher than I want them(don't know anymore since doctor double e dosed me for anti-androgen properties) but at a level where feminization occurs thank the heavens.  I can wait it out till SRS.

Do not try and figure what what medication you need. Get an endo and they will TELL you what medication you need.

Risky. It's already a little cloudy whether it's relevant or not to prescribe E without anti-androgens, but add to that your complexified hormone profile and it becomes dangerous to even try to advise. Get a professional; don't even consider Internet help for a situation like that. It requires someone with a professional's knowledge and experience to judge. If there's only one case where self-medicating is not advisable, it's this one.

However, I think it's safe to say that you shouldn't assume any kind of HRT to leave your genitals and their function intact at a 100% chance.

if your curious what HRT with just estrogen does for you?  ill be glad to share my time line photos with you. im just 3 1/2 months into hrt. and im on estrogen only. last week I got put on low dose T blockers only because I drove my doctor crazy about wanting them.  SBHG are produced by oral estrogens which slowly lower active T in the blood.  I went from a T level of  570 to 250.     which is alittle high for a woman, but within a normal medical occurance.

I was only asking to clear things up, this tg gal said all this, but it didn't really ring true with me.

Unfortunately Estrogen alone with not do much.  It will battle with Testosterone.  Best to see your Endo and get started with a proper regimen.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

I'm on e only. I was on spiro as well but my endo felt e alone would be more effective as he described it spiro at very low t values can trigger receptors and slightly increase t. at the time of my last test I think 7 was at 46 or something like that so to say e alone does nothing is incorrect. But I do agree you need to talk to your endo about it.
