psych appointments over phone

 this is for aussie guys, i have a friend who is stuggling to start his transtion he saw a doctor who told him he had a mental desease and he needed to be treated, he really needs to see a psych but he lives in swan hill which is a remote area, are there any psych's i can get him incontact with who deal with transguys that are eaither in that area or who can do a consualt over the phone?

Hi Justin,

I'd imagine Melb would be the closest major city to Swan Hill, albeit it being on the border. If you could contact the Transgender centre at Monash, they may have practitioners in Ballarat of even the Uni in Wagga. Otherwise it maybe well worth a trip to Melb.

But most certainly I'd avoid like the plague whatever "Nutter" suggested he had a disease.
