I'm not sure how many of you read this webcomic, but it is basically about a group of twentysomething adults living in Massachusetts. It's pretty good and has been going for a while. The latest comic, has a minor character, Claire, telling the main character, Marten, that she is a transwoman.

This is what the comic's artist and writer had to say about Claire - "I have to admit, I am nervous about posting this comic, because including a trans person in my cast is something I have wanted to do for years and I really, really want to do a good job of it. One of the major themes of QC, I think, is of inclusion, and this seemed like a pretty important thing to include. I have given it a lot of thought and done a lot of research, so hopefully I won't screw up. I'll do my best, anyway."

I have no concrete idea of my gender identity, but I believe I am an Androgyne.

Oh wow. That makes me kind of scared. I love QC and I don't want to have to stop reading it because I can't stand the portrayal. I almost aggressively avoid anything with trans characters in it because they always make me upset. But then on the other hand I almost trust Jeph enough to do a good job... He didn't screw over his queer characters... Really not sure how I feel about this.  :-\
