Sandy

I'm *down* to a 14 and I was feeling pretty good about myself...

Then I read this thread...  Sheesh!

Jeans, Size 8 tall.

I am 5 11 , my waist is 45 inch off the ground and I've got 35.5 inch inseem, hip bone at 39 inch. Even with very substantial muscles on them, my legs look sleek because of their length.

Yeah, jeans are all about the booty :-). Mine is not too bad (hehe).

My long legs, transform me into an alien when wearing high waisted or skinny jeans.

The best for me is a extra low waisted boot cut; my legs then look long, without looking alien and they're suitably naughty to wear... I am kind of tease don't you know ;-). You need to not have any extra fat over the jeans waist to pull that off beautifully and I've been working hard lately to remove the last offending 3-4 pounds.

Also a little hint, if you want to *appear* less tall, buy jeans (pants) that are either bootcut or flaired, avoid straight legged or tapered they will make you look even taller. Also a lower rise will visually shorten your legs.

Heh, the girl ^^^^ knows her stuff ;)

I LOVE bootcuts! Pretty much all I wear, being so darn tall. And yes, tapered look the absolute *worst* on me. Being a genetic male though, my actual legs aren't very long (32") for my height (women have longer legs, proportion-wise), as my height is in my torso and neck I think... so low-rises can look kinda odd on me. I need to actually make my legs look longer (versus my torso), so I wear normal-waist pants and shorter tops (no tunics).

To make your legs look longer, Kate you need some very pointy toe, skinny heels boots or pumps...(toes are not meant to be crammed into the toe points - get them bigger if necessary), pair with a long boot cut pant...the line of the pant from hip to pointy toe will elongate your legsĀ  ;) . This I know, I have short legs lol.

BTW trashy.com carries sexy shoes up to size 12

It is ssooo hard but I just found a way to make it easier.  Check out www.zafu.com they ask you a few questions about yourself and then recommend the perfect jeans.  Have fun!

Finding jeans if you are short and skinny is a bitch.  I like Kohl's because they mark their petite sizes.  Even with that, you often have to get them hemmed.  And yes, most women need to try on at least 5 to find one that fits.

I hate jeans! I have short legs and always have to cuff my jeans into capri or at least a few small folds. I'm 5'6", my inseam is 28" (I know!), hip bone is 35. Jeans fit me in the waist fine, it's just they are soooo long. I prefer Diesel, expensive but a good pair last forever :)

Come to where I live meghan, seriously, the avrage is a 28 inseam or shorter...  at 5ft 6 youd be considered alittle above avrage  height wise... :)

My bane is my skinniness. I've gone into stores and tried on their size zeros, and had nothing that fit me  :'(

I can't wear Levi's at all.

I hate shopping! :( Especially trying to find jeans :(

I wear between a 7 and a 10 depending on the style. Jeans are cool but most of them around here are the blimpy Walmart brands.....go figure since most of the women here in SD weigh as much as a rhino.

SInce we're talking fashion, am I the only one that notices that the clothes they sell nowadays are way more conservative than 10 years or even five years ago? Cripes even at Kohls not too long ago you could find some really kinky stuff, now even Hot Topic is getting stuffy looking. Maybe it's just me...

I have three pairs of jeans and one is from Hollister and that fits the best. It's gotten too big for me though so that sucks (losing wieght)....they're long enough that they can cover my shoes. They go good with my Nike Primos.

When I used to wear mens (and when I was younger, boys) jeans I always had a hard time finding jeans that fit me properly because I have short legs. But once I started wearing womens jeans last summer I never had that problem again. Hmmmmm, maybe when I was a kid I should have told my mom that I wanted to wear girls jeans.  :)

I';ve never worn boys or men's jeans and have been wearing ladies jeans since I was about 13.....I'm now in my 40's..

I love wearing jeans and the more fem looking the better......I tend to go for lighter colours to make it seem that I am bigger on the bottom than the top.
Bootcut are my favourite although they are supposed to be going out now....
If you get a nice pair of tight jeans they sometimes look much better and sexier than a skirt....mind you I'm denim mad and like denim skirts as well..

Ha ha ha...

Yes.  It is supposed to be so hard.  Back before my mother stopped dragging me about to find new women's jeans, I would go to 7 or 8 stores in a day and try on probably 50 pairs of jeans.  We'd go to specialty jeans stores, thrift shops... You name it.  My last two pairs of jeans, one pair I have worn through and the other I've worn twice.  They were almost a hundred dollars a pair.  The one I've worn through was a "painter" jean with wide legs and a handle for a hammer.  The other one was a tapered fit that would supposedly make my short legs look longer.  I never saw the floor get any farther away.  *shrug*

I've got a 25 inch waist, I know that much, and a 30 something hip.  I dunno exactly.  I just know that any pair of jeans that fit at the waist did NOT fit at the hip and vice versa.  And I've got very little fat padding, though I've got some muscle from being a competitive skier awhile back.  I think my closest women's size was a 4 petite, but even that was awkward.

I hated shopping for women's clothes, for this reason.  When I was about 17, I convinced my mum that boys' clothes (children's section) fit better, had less tax on them and were cheaper.  She stopped buying me clothes at that point.

My favorite jeans are Levis.  I wear a 14 long. I just love the short front pockets. To me there is nothing worse than having something like car keys digging into unmentionable places when I sit.

I'm 7 or 8, 38 hips, 28 waist, I don't really like slim legs since it makes me look even taller and I think I'm tall enough and also my calves are a not slim enough to make them look good on me (they will be tight on the calves on fit well everywhere else).

I always felt that female Levi's were too manly in fit, cut and appearance...

I love the fit and the manly looks are OK since I'm not out. I can't find guy's in the right size. They all have like a 38 inch waist and 15 inch inseam like some sort of beerbelly munchkin. The Levis fit right and I like the lower waist. It's also kind of a hidden satisfaction for me if that doesn't appear too dumb. Wearing misses in public as a man and few have noticed.

I have a new favorite style of jeans, 7 For All Mankind, 7's. I just bought three pairs and, although pricey, these fit me so well except the length. I'm going to have them taken up but they have low waisted jeans that are sooo comfortable :) I bought size 29 which are men's and women's sizes, but these are definitely girl jeans.
