Did You Jump?

A young man grew up in a proud military family with ancestors in every war since Napoleon.  When Dubya asked for more volunteers he proudly enlisted and was sent to school to be a paratrooper.

After his first lesson he called his dad:

"You wouldn't believe this, Dad, it's awesome!"
"Wasn't this the date of your first jump?"
"Yes!"
"Well, what happened?"
"Dad, I hate to tell you this, but I was really scared.  I thought I could do it, but when the door was opened, all I could see were clouds and I started to get sick.  Then the huge hulking jumpmaster came over and got right in my face and said:  Listen up.  I'm gay and other than that open door there is only one other way I'll let you get down out of this plane.
"Well, son, did you jump?"
"A little at first."
