I had a few questions so I decided to just put them all here. I have researched online but cannot get really clear answers to my questions and really just want to hear from guys who have been on hormones longer than two years. First question is acne; I started getting acne pretty bad after about a year and have been on hormones for a year and four months now. Does it get better eventually when my body gets used to it? Even though i've been on it for over a year now. I am on treatment by a dermatologist but still would like it to naturally go away. Next questions is even if I haven't grown much facial hair in this time, but I do notice a big increase in those soft facial hairs and some rough ones on my chin, do I still have a good chance to grow more? I've noticed some guys seem to change pretty quickly while others more slow. I guess it is genetics. Hopefully someone can answer these questions. Thanks!

I myself I'm looking for the same answers and have not found clear answers. I have a question to ask you though.  How much testosterone and frequency did the doctor say you should use in order to change from FTM? Also, are you seeing a doctor or self prescribing? Thanks

We do not allow the discussion of dosages on this site. Please review the TOS, specifically rule #8.
Thank you Hugs Devlyn.

It is against the Rules at Susan's to discuss doseage.

-------------------------------------------------

8. The discussion of hormone replacement therapy(HRT) and it's medications are permitted, with the following limitations:A. You may not advocate for or against a specific medication or combinations of medication for personal gain. This is strictly prohibited.
B. You may not discuss the means to acquire HRT medications without a prescription. The discussion of self medication without a doctors supervision is prohibited.
C. The discussion of recommended or actual dosages is strongly discouraged to prevent information obtained on this site from being used to self medicate. We can not in good conscience condone the self administering of these medications. Not only may self medication be illegal, but HRT medications can cause serious health problems, and many have the potential for life-threatening side effects that can only be detected and prevented with proper medical supervision.

jmhfl7 see an endo to get that information. I hope someone has experience with this because acne is a problem for me right now and i'm not sure if it will go away when I get used to the hormones eventually even though i've been on it for over a year.

Hey,

I thought Id add to this, whether Ill be much help or not, I dont know :p

Ive been on T for about 3 and a half years.
My acne started around 1 year on T. My acne doesnt get near as bad as some peoples, but it is noticeable. And its annoying that it starts to fade, then flare up every month or two.
With the facial hair, that is my biggest frustration and impatience. Ive been so desperate for facial hair, yet, I grow sparse stubble on my chin, and thats it. I dont grow even one hair anywhere else, not neck, jawline, cheek or sideburn.
I have my T levels checked, and the woman I see at the clinic says it is satisfactory. When Ive looked online (not the most reliable source, I know :p ) the levels Im at, seem to come up as on the very low end, so even though its within the right spectrum, it seems to be on the very low end, especially for my age. Maybe that is the case for you?
Even though Ive been on T awhile, Im still hoping for an increase of changes.
Bring on the beard!
