Lol, ever feel like saying this to someone? I'm pretty open in certain circles about being trans, like with close friends and at work, but sometimes I know how this feels. Watch and you might be like "oh yes!" It's only like 15 seconds long :)

I need to remember that when the time comes.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

Meghan, thanks for giving a glimpse of hope to those of us for whom transition still seems like an insurmountable pipe dream. It's such a preoccupation these days but I don't talk about it because most people either don't know (and probably would think it TMI) or are tired of hearing about it from me so I try to make shallow chitchat instead.

I hope there will come a day for me when other people are so much more interested than I am that I'll be tempted to tell them to go look it all up.

Though I do see how it could all get old quickly.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Ag, I'm actually just poking fun at the whole trans thing. I don't have a problem educating people, in the right circles and ones that I choose, about trans issues. I'm thankful that I have the ability to pick and choose who I disclose to. I'm sure I probably wouldn't be so willing to talk about it if I wasn't comfortable in my own skin, you know? You've made so much progress with the journey of self-discovery since I first met you. I feel like in the last year or so I've found myself thinking more about my role in educating people, talking to groups, doing youtube videos, etc. I don't have any plans on leaving or anything, but it's one of those things where when you live in an area like Los Angeles and you are surrounded by LGBT people, you don't question your role in it much. I think about people in rural areas or places with no trans people and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be so public if I didn't have a pretty supportive and liberal surrounding, you know? Anyway, I'm blabbing now :) That series is actually really good. Jamie Clayton was in that episode of Hung as well, Season three, something like "What's Going On Downstairs" or something. I like her.

Yep it is. Actually, I think that might be the first show I've seen with a trans woman in it that I liked. Thanks for pointing it out!
