Yum! You can find the recipe here: http://www.rkhomemaderecipes.com/chocolate-sponge-cake-amandine.html I just added about a teaspoon of almond extract and a handful of raw almonds ground into a fine powder to the filling.

I've been into cakes lately, anyone have any good recipes or their own cake pictures?

That looks really good :)
Almond and chocolate, yum

I'm much more into the savory side of the kitchen tbh
I do have a couple of pics of sweet things though :P

That looks good, and one I haven't tried. What's drizzled on the plate?

I am more into the savory side myself, partly because I often don't need to have an entire cake sitting around.

heh, its some of the liquid from the soak of the cake. the cake is called tres leches because it's a sponge cake that's then soaked in three milks; heavy cream, condensed milk, and evaporated milk (and a little rum for good measure)
