"For transpeople, using the right pronoun is NOT simply a 'political correctness' issue. It's core to the entire struggle transpeople go through. Using the wrong pronoun means 'I don't recognize you as who you are.' It means 'I think you're confused, delusional, or mentally I'll.'. It means 'you're not important enough for me to acknowledge your struggle.'"

Well I was waiting till after the holidays, I'm like finishing my final draft now. (Well I did come out to my sis but yeah)

Oh, you're writing a coming out letter?

Yep... there are too many things I need to say  :(

Hmm Maybe you could test it out on us.

My resolution is to be fearless.

I really want to be able to transition this year and be able to go full time by first quarter next year. But I fear that my social anxiety will slow me down and prevent me from making it.

I have social anxiety too, hon. You can make it!

I'm working on it. Just asking my cousin to come see me at my home, because I want to come out to her, took all my courage. She said she'll come Friday or Saturday. I'm anticipating this meeting with a little anxiety and excitement as I'm sure she'll accept and help me.

If it helps, my SA has improved sooo much with transition, I feel so much more confident now that I can just be myself. :)

Discovering I'm trans already helped somewhat because I realized the issue came from a bigger problem, being unable to be myself.  Like I said, I'm working on it.

Keep being awesome.  Love everybody, especially people that insist on making it difficult.  Stop thinking I know everything so I can learn more stuff!

Finnish uni, deal better with social anxiety, tell at least 1 person in real life that I'm not happy being a guy, start learning Japanese, eat less chocolate (okay that last one may be asking too much) :)

I sent my letter out the family last night.  I loosely based it on a sample that Bev sent me a couple months back (Thank you Beverly) and my wife had our therapist read it.  It was simple and to the point, but referenced the most important aspects of my transition outside the text of the letter.  If you need a copy please Message me.

And yesterday afternoon my wife and I talked to our two adult sons.  I was terrified that my boys would completely reject me, but they didn't.  All they want is my happiness, and to be able to call me Dad when we talk, even after I transition.  I just said "You can call me anything you want."

JoAnn and I raised two incredibly wonderful children.  I really do love my wife and sons.
