I was born in the UK but haven't lived there for many years[since I was 16]...I became an Australian citizen and had lived there for 17 years before moving to New Zealand [ Where I'm a permanent resident, I haven't taken out NZ citizenship-no need to really]...

I started and completed my transitioned in New Zealand... You could say here's where I finally caught up with my 'true' self !

Now I just want to be nosy...Nosy being my middle name  ;) ;D

How about you ... Are/will you be a Homie ? Or a Hobo ?

I notice that the strength of the English accent of  the Brits is directly proportionally to how far they are from their Island!!!!

After the first year in Aussie, I had an Aussie accent, this came about through only interacting with Aussies-very little contact with UK ex-pats, and when I travelled back to the UK [after serving 2 1/2 years, of my life sentence for stealing a loaf of bread  ;) ;D] they[ English people] thought I sounded like an Aussie...But it didn't take long to get the ol Cockney accent back, and  "Cor Blimey!"it''s been with me ever since...I just can't bloody shake it... Mind you tis said the Aussie accent is  what's known as "Bush Cockney" Back in the day, there must have been an awful lot of P.O.M.E 's from London sent there...

BTW back to topic...This is just a poll[and comments if one so chooses] to see if there are many who have left 'home' so to speak, to transition or complete their transition....

Actually your thread got me thinking about who I am....what cultures, religions, experiences, knowledge, and family legends and myths have shape my identity. ...to make a long story short I am the product of many cultures and religions....I suppose most of us are..at the end perhaps I am just another human female...

Still my devotion and fitfulness to my Country is unwavering and unchangeable...I will happily give my life for it!
