Courage is the ability to confront fear, pain, danger, uncertainty, or intimidation. -wikipedia
I'm writing this post because today I am in need of courage. I did a search for "courage" on the forums and nothing came up!
So here goes a post about courage

More wikipedia: Courage and patience appear as the first two of ten characteristics of dharma in the Hindu Manusmá¹›ti, besides forgiveness, tolerance, honesty, physical restraint, cleanliness, perceptiveness, knowledge, truthfulness , and control of anger.
It seems like the #1 quality we must maintain is courage. I think that is why we are all here at Susans
support site. Many say there's strength in numbers, but more importantly, there is courage in numbers. I remember as a kid walking through rough neighborhoods, I would be very scared when alone, but when I was with my 'crew' we were untouchable. I had the same feeling everywhere else in life: Tough situations/environments that seemed less so after reminding myself that I was not alone.
Storytime: Just a few nights ago I was walking home down a dark alleyway (very scary) and someone exited their house as I was passing (even more scary). Well they were a friendly person, we each greeted each other and exchanged names. And when we got to the real dark spot, he pulled out a flashlight so we could avoid the freezing puddles. I was very thankful to enjoy that situation. It was a perfect reminder that as we find ourselves navigating life's darkest paths, we do not travel alone. There's always a friend somewhere to shine a guiding light.
I'd like to say thanks to everyone here for helping me hang on to my courage and continue down my dark path of fear, pain, danger and uncertainty. Having susans is like having a friend with a flashlight. I know if I stay the course, the darkness will slowly fade to dawn. A little patience goes a long way.
I guess that's all I've got to say by myself. I'd love to hear everyone else's thoughts and stories on courage.
