Justify--make me feel better--about my purchase

I went to Victoria Secrets today for the last days of the sale. I bought one of the bombshell bras and a slip. The slip is fine and beautiful. The bra is beautiful too, but I don't fill out the rest of the cup very well. Its an A-cup size; I would say I fill it about halfway now. And it actually began to cause a little dysphoria attack a while ago.

But anyway, my purchase should have been well over $100, but because of the sale, I spent $48; however, I'm having some buyer's remorse. But despite this, I think I should keep the bra for two reasons:
1. Its a $60 bra I got for $20.
2. Even if I don't fill it out completely yet, I can use it as a marker to see how much I grow. Maybe six months from now, I'll be spilling out the top and need to remove some of the padding.

Are these good reasons? Cause I'm debating taking it back.

Do you like the bra, other than it being a little over ample? You are changing now... it's likely to fit better at some point, unless there was some other problem with the fit.  How much will gas and wear and tear cost for the trip to return it? What value do you place on the time you'd spend returning it?

I'm sort of a pack-rat that way...$20 isn't had for a keeper...esp if you will fit into it soon...

I think it's OK. As Elspeth said, you will fill it out before you know it. And you'll use and enjoy it. It's nice now and again to buy something that you will really enjoy and feel good in, so I say hang on to it.

I would definitely keep it. I have bought bra's before that I didn't completely fill out just yet, but when I did it was it was another reason to celebrate.

I don't have a good count on bras (or most other wardrobe items for that matter). I bought myself an antique vanity table and a wide and tall (32" wide, 18" deep and like at least 5 feet tall, but on legs) 7-drawer lingerie chest as divorce presents for myself (actually, I bought them during the separation, if memory serves). The thing is more than full.

I have way more than any girl needs, and I'm fairly sure most of them will not wind up fitting after HRT, at least if I keep to my plan to lose more weight before starting.  I'll be sad, but maybe I'll find someone willing to take the prettier ones that have only a little wear and tear?

Those that might fit afterwards, there will probably be a gap of at least 2 years when they'll be useless (unless I pad them... sounds pretty uncomfortable, and my sense is most girls don't recommend that approach).

It will be a sad-yet-happy day when I finally have a definite bra size and feel the need to give up those old ones.

Btw, it might be worth considering getting some pads while you are growing, as long as they are something that will breathe and not lead to discomfort or too much irritation?

I'd probably take it back. Unless you have other good bras that fit correctly (and can afford to leave this one lying around useless). One of the biggest mistakes women make with clothes is buying, keeping, or wearing clothes and undergarments that don't fit properly. They're always holding onto clothes for 'someday' when they lose weight, fill out, or whatever (I'm even guilty of this one). Most often, someday never comes.

You seriously need a bra that fits now (if you're want to wear one, that is). Even young girls going through puberty are bought bras that fit them at the stage they're at. If the issue is you can't fit regular bar sizes, see if you can fit a training bra. Ill fitting bras don't serve you (in more ways than one; you did have a dysphoria attack). Do your figure a favor.
