I know this is probably weird.
Nothing I have ever read suggests that HRT should have any effect on my voice, and it is probably just a coincidence, But since I began HRT I seem to be losing my voice gradually. This morning in particular my voice sounded thin and slightly hoarse, not really gravelly, just not much resonance. I hadn't gone out at all over the weekend, so I really hadn't used my voice the whole weekend, and it surprised me this morning at the office. It sort of sounds the way it would if I had lost it from screaming all weekend or something, but I haven't done anything like that. I haven't had any cold of flu symptoms at all for months, other than this voice thing.
I haven't really even been practicing a female voice much since I started getting this, not wanting to strain my voice further. It has been sort of gradual and snuck up on me till this morning it was pretty noticeable, but I know it has been happening for about at least a week and maybe two or three. I will have been on Estradiol four weeks this Thursday.
One other thought is that I have taken Estradiol tablets sublingual (dissolving under the tongue). Of course some gets swallowed in saliva, even though I try not to and mostly it seems to get absorbed in my mouth. So maybe the Estradiol could be irritating my vocal chords directly.
I suppose I should probably go to the doc, or maybe a local voice specialist. My worst nightmare would be throat cancer or something!

I have an appointment with my GP in three or four weeks for my normal checkup, but maybe I should go sooner.
