Just curious, running a poll to see how other guys feel about STP. Myself, I've always been attracted to the concept and tried medicine spoons with mostly great success. But every time I had a mishap I would just give up for months at a time. I got a pstyle recently and now I can't imagine going without it. It's basically idiot-proof, which is a bonus for me :p It's just too bad it's so hard to carry around. Public bathrooms have been a huge source of nervousness for me and it's good to know I can now at least face the right way in a stall. Anyway, vote in the poll, and let me know in the comments the reasoning behind your choice.

I voted "no but I would like to".  However, I also wanted to pick the other "no" option. I haven't transitioned yet so I just sit but even when I do transition, I don't think I will use an STP.  That's just too much red tape for me and sitting would be quicker and cheaper.
I would like to, but I'm just too lazy.

Though, once in a while I will use an empty toilet roll to stp in the privacy in my home when I want to feel empowered....or if someone is in the bathroom and I really have to use it.

I have a medicine spoon as well as a gogirl and have had mostly success with both. I am thinking about ordering a Pibella (www.pibella.com) but since my hysto last month I haven't been standing to pee at all.

I have yet to use anything in public. The fear that I am going to mess up and piss on myself is stronger than the need I have to STP. At home and outside I do enjoy it.

OMG! I pissed myself at work once XD
I ran to my car, and drove home to change.

That's why (well, among other reasons) I keep a spare change of pants at work, or in the car. Never pissed on myself at work (yet...?) but they've come in handy before, like when I was going to put on my pants and my toe caught in a small hole in the knee and ripped an entire pant leg off...

You never know when you're gonna need to change your pants. (Words to live by)

No, I don't, and I don't plan on it when I finally get to the point where I can enter a men's stall.   It mostly has to do with the idea of lingering urine in the STP or on the spoon and the potential for getting urine on me.  At home I might try it, but in public I don't plan on it.  I'd rather not piss on myself or have the possibility of lingering urine anywhere.

I put that i do, but i don't always. Most of the time at home i do, about 25% of the time in public, and never at school. I almost never pee at school anyway, so i dont bother bringing my medicine spoon. In public, i usually just forget to grab it before i leave. I'm just lazy and it's not super crucial to me dysphoria-wise.

I voted "no and I don't care to" although it's a mix between that and the other "no" answer. I would like to use an STP but it's not very important. Before, I didn't think using an STP would have any sort of impact because  was read as male next to never. Now I'm usually seen as male so having the option to stand to pee would be great. I would like to have a comfortable, easy to use STP but I don't exactly have much money, and I don't want to spend on something that might not work out. So, I wait. I do think the peecock might work for me, but I'm going to hold out until I can really afford it.

i had to.

I don't but I want to. I should practice more - I'm not very good at it. I use a medicine spoon and a homemade toothpaste tube thingy, and occasionally a trimmed plastic coffee can lid. Other than in my own bathroom I'm most likely to stp if I'm outside and squatting to pee makes me really self-conscious. I've tried it in the stalls of public restrooms but never at a urinal.

I want to for passing reasons but have three problems. One is I'm afraid of the mess, I don't have the best time aiming urine, or if I have to go extremely badly controlling the flow. Then there's the fact that the really realistic looking, and sterile silicone ones are on the expensive side. The last problem is I don't pass well due to my voice and not being able to get on hormones.

I put down no but would like to.  I use the men's regular always in a stall, would sure like to unzip a fly and go getting partically undressed all the time.  I have a medicine spoon type, still practicing at home in the shower.  I can make it work after some practice but not the first time everytime.  I have a problem with pants/jeans on in that
I have a problem getting the end low enough so pee can flow out, my zipper doesn't go low enough or my opening is too low.  Does anyone else have this problem or know what I can do?  I get a little dsyphia everytime I see a guy standing an urinal, wishing I could do that too.

No, it's not a cultural universal and it is a hassle with the anatomy I have. Besides I only use either my home toilet or single stall public toilets (preferably gender neutral ones since I'm in the stage I confuse everyone no matter what toilet I use).

I have mixed times when i do, I have been trying to make a habit of sdtp instead of stp. The bathroom is easier to clean though when I sdtp

That might help

You ladies are funny, heh. Anyway...  :D

No, but I want to. I just need to lose some weight first so it'll be easier to practice. My only real issue is the padding on my junk.

With Malachite on this... only I chose the other no, because I wasn't sure if I would like to meant I wish I could, or I plan to use an STP device. Of course, I wish I could, but I answered directly as I find that I can survive without the ability to pee standing.

I feel naughty visiting the boy's talk >.> Still, my husband is Ft? and is not comfortable with researching stuff, yet. I tend to check it out, plus, in case I ever need to go under cover as a guy in the future, I could use the ideas >.>

But yeah, I do when the toilet is cold or when I am wearing pants, I tend to stand up. With skirts or dresses, I always Sit To Pee. It isn't even that it makes me "feel more feminine" it just feels awkward.

No, in order to make this post somewhat useful in the FTM forums, I will say that a bunch of guys feel awkward using a urinal, so don't worry about using a stall in the men's room. Most guys will think you are just doing a "#2" to use an American colloquialism.

Sorry for interjecting into the boy's talk .__. I hope it wasn't too useless, though!

Yeah the ladies are funny, but I hope they aren't actually voting-- kind of ruins the sample. :)
Btw, I put "yes", but it really should be occasionally. I am not so good at it yet and pstyle isn't exactly the most portable thing, but it is the only one I can be 100% on.

I voted "yes", but that's only part true. I use a gogirl, but I often sit aswell.

Went and got me a ticker, so everytime I post I'm reminded to put down whatever I was about to eat. >.>
