Laser aftercare treatment

So today I started laser hair removal, big relief to finally start it. For post op care I was basically told to rub in creams, use sunblock constantly and avoid sunlight in general for about a week. Are there any other suggested treatments I could do to help with my aftercare?

Nope that's about it, except don't pick any follicles that little crusted over.

I've been lucky to have almost no reaction to it, no swelling or redness. But if you do just don't aggravate it and it will go away.

The best feeling is when parts of your beard stop growing back!

I think it was all covered. It's pretty basic. Just enjoy the effects once they kick in.

Thanks, I'm a bit paranoid about messing up my skin since I tend to be outside a lot, does sun tan lotion help a lot? Im honestly real happy to start this one procedure and saying buhbye to the beard

Make sure you put a good coat of SPF 30 stuff on, and moisturize beforehand if you don't have the one with moisturizer in it.

I've been on Roaccutane for few months because of body acne, so I've gotten used to staying out of the sun and I like to keep my pale/olive complexion.

Otherwise wear a hat or bring an umbrella

Sorry, I live in Seattle so I don't really know what the sun looks like. I assume you should use SPF 50 or so.

I work outside (South Texas) so I have followed the following regement for after care.

I get the last appointment of the day. This allows me at least 12 hours of recovery time.
A witchhazle and aloe rub to remoisturize the face imediatly after treatment.
I spend 2 hours in the car or infront of the A/C vent with COOL air blowing on my face. Not on high but enough to chill the skin.
SPF 30 on the face ALWAYS.
Shave at least 1 day before as to not have a large amount of growth and wait at least 5 days after to shave.
NEVER pick, pluck, tweeze the hair. It will fall out ALL by itself when its ready to.
Moisturize the face at night before bed.

I just did sesion #11. I was not able to go full force with the laser until appointment 9 or so. HEAVY HEAVY goatee area so it was VERY painful.. I can go about 14 weeks now until a spotty light shaddow shows back up in my face. I do shave about once a week as I do have some spotty gray hair. Which wasnt visable untill I got rid of the dark hair. That will be left for electro. A good laser tech will really care for your skin. They can recomend ointments and moisturizers to suit your particular skin type.
