Things you like about being male.

-Urinals are quicker
-Looser clothes ( I could never stand tight clothes, it felt wrong . 'Crossdressed' all my life until I came out as ftm)
-Not being seen as ignorant
-We can do more things without being questioned
-It's not seen as wrong if I walk around in clothes covered with mud, paint, etc and don't care about how I look
-Less maintenance to do on the body
-Going shirtless
-Helping move/lift things
-The male role in general

I am still looking and dressing male, but there is nothing I particularly like about any aspect of it. The only consolation is not having to sit on public toilets, but it is little consolation.

Otherwise, I have nothing to say that I like.

So here's a post for a list of what you like about the male social role.

It's funny, everything I think of gets a "BUT" after it, lol...

I sometimes liked being my wife's "protector," and keeping her safe.... but I really wanted to be the one being protected.

I sometimes liked pleasing my wife as "a guy" to make her happy... but I really wanted to be the one desired as a woman by a guy.

I sometimes liked the "male privilege" of having an unspoken free passport to do whatever... but I hated that it came at the expense of being seen as a guy.

I liked being able to walk around without really ever thinking about safety... but I always wanted to be delicate and vulnerable.

I liked not really obsessing about looks or what people thought of me... but I SO longed to be pretty and cute to everyone.

muscles & being strong being able to pee anywhere and not having to sit on public toilets. If i was not a man and was lost in the woods i do not think it would be easy too pee.

• freedom of walking out at night alone
• clothes are tougher, more protective
• legs can go anywhere when I'm sitting down.

actually, the good thing about being a male is i never had to worry about how i look..i can just get out of the house in 2 minutes and i don't have to worry about being judged because i look tired or don't smile or whatever. =/

Isn't amazing, how fast we fell into the female role about our looks in the female?

-hair that looks the same when I get up as it did when I went to bed
-being treated like I have a clue at the mechanic's and by clients
-takes me 10 minutes to shower and get ready
-clothes fit and are comfortable
-can pack for a two week trip in carry-on luggage
-women flirting with me
-guys treating me like a regular guy
-being able to take my shirt off when it's hot
-swim trunks are way better than women's bathing suits
-men's clothes are cheaper
-men's haircuts are cheaper and easier
-no periods

hmm.. If I could be a guy for a day, I'd like-

-No bras (when you get above a certain size, bras cease to be cute and pretty and start leaning toward "industrial strength".)
-no stockings/nylons/high heels (whoever created these must be in some form of hell right now. -- I almost never wear them but I hate it when I have to)
-People looking at my face not my boobs (see #1)
-People not looking at us funny or snide remarks when they find out I'm the one that is out of the house working, and my spouse is the one at home.
-peeing standing up... cause like.. come on... sounds like so much fun lol

- Women have this expectation put on them to become pregnant... I'm 26 years old, and the family is already putting pressure on me... If a woman has no desire to ever become pregnant shes looked at like shes a lemer..
- no menstruating... its discusting.. you never feel clean, you're grouchy, and puffy, and its just a waste of time.

Being able to make friends with straight guys without there beign sexual tension.

Really, I'm with tink on this.  If there was anything I really liked about being male, I'd still be one.  And no, I never really felt male.  I felt I was play acting.  I had to figure out what to do by watching other guys, but my feminine responses have always been natural.  It was having to suppress them that gave me all the anguish.

Anyway, if there was anything to that whole male thing, I never got the memo.
