I don't know how many of you out there had a N64 (or still have it!) but those joysticks really were a pain! I have three controllers and the joysticks on all of them are so loose that it's almost impossible to play any games. I decided to browse eBay for new/newish controllers, but I didn't want to have to sit through a bid-war lasting days/weeks. I eventually wondered if it was possible to replace the joystick itself, instead of the whole controller and what do you you? I found joystick replacements! They were like, $9 a piece which isn't too bad in my opinion. I even found a video showing how to take out and put in the new joysticks, and the guy actually used a completely different kind of joystick. It's the kind of joysticks used on modern console controllers, but in the style of the N64 controller.

Waiting for them to come, I hope they work well! I so want to be able to (happily and comfortably) play my N64 games once more!
Pre-HRT, hoping to start in June/July.
But once I've started working on saving up for transitioning, we'll see if that time frame keeps.

I miss my N64 I lost it in a move years ago. But at least with the Wii I can download some of the old games and the classic controller is a lot more comfortable than the N64 controllers were.

I think I would cry if I lost my N64. My friends ex-boyfriend stole a few of my games when he moved and I got so pissed off over losing a couple games alone.
I don't have a classic controller for my Wii, and the only virtual console games I have are for the NES/SNES. I guess I'm just used to the N64 controllers still, because I don't find them uncomfortable at all. :P
