Hi Sektrex,
First things first. As it appears you are still living at home under the supervison and guidance of your parents, they have certain rights and responsibilities regarding your health and wellbeing. So you may not be in a good postion to demands certain outcomes you'd prefer over your own life.
Having said that, I'm sure your parents are loving people, only wanting the very best for you, and should be prepared to support your maturing decisions.
You could approach them and tell them you are feeling depressed and would like to talk toa professional counsellor about some personal issues. Nothing to do with them, just personal stuff of your own.
If they are sensitive to your needs and it developes to the point your counsellor advises gender therapy such as HRT, then by this time your parents should be aware of the medical condition you are experiencing.
Should thisnot be the case, you may have to wait until you are legelly old enough to leave home and support yourself and then continue the process.
Whichever way it goes, you have time on your side, and bay steps are generally the best way to start this very complex, multi facteded , multi level condition.
With respects to your second question, about employment, transitioning should not adversely affect it. Whatever profession you go into. Most employers are looking for skill, experience and above all attitude.
Keep in touch and let us know how you are coping.
Be safe,well and happy.
Lotsa huggs
Catherine
