After top surgery and accumulated time on T, I really want to play basketball. There's recreational leagues in my area, but I'm afraid I will stick out. There's several levels of experience in each league, so I am not afraid of sucking at basketball so much as I am not clicking with the other guys because I've never had male sports socialization.

Anyone had experience playing sports on an all male team ?

I played on only guys term when I where in school. tecnically it wasnt only for guys but the girls who was there really ddint felt like joining so they where only showing up 1 or 2 times and then they quited, even if we had match with some of the other teams seeing girls there where also very uncommon, so it was 97% boys in general.
it was fun and when your out playing you dont really think or worry about small details, its just the game who is important.

Ive always played hockey on all guys teams. I think youll get it - not much to it, you can kinda jus figure it out by the way they interact wit each other. You jus play the game and if you win or lose youre like yea that was awesome nice bro or that sucks. Yea its really not that important, I always jus stayed quiet until the team started to include me and thats how the "bonding" began.

Good post since I just got in from my football practice (all guys) Uh, I dont know what to say abuot the bonding thing, just be yourself. everyone is different. I stick out alot from the other guys but not because of past. I am more agressive and talk more crap than the other guys lol. I also got nailed in the penis two times with the ball and was like "meh" .  I think alot of guys get hit in the vicinity of the crotch and it doesnt hurt because its not the testicles. No one cared or noticed. So just be yourself and dont worry about it, but i guess also dont share too much, thats something i think most guys find annoying (from any gender)

I joined the "coed" wrestling team in high school, but I was the only girl on the team. I didn't last long, because the guys didn't want a girl on the team and kind of forced me out.  :( From my very limited experience, I think as long as they see you as male, you'll be "one of the guys", and just fit in the the guys on your skill level, and like Chuck said just be yourself.
