How to reduce/get rid of scars from binding

I've been binding for 6 yrs now, and have only within the last year or so developed such bad scars. I attached pics to give a better idea of what I'm dealing with here....





I've been wearing a shirt UNDER my binder so it's not rubbing directly against the skin, but it hasn't cleared up at all and I've been wearing the shirt under it for a few months. I've been using scar gel, vitamin d oil and dry skin lotion...all to no avail...no, wearing a bigger binder isn't an option, because then it wouldn't bind enough. Is there anything that you guys have tried for scars, and did it work? How long did you have to continue using it? How can I heal my shoulders? I go without a binder whenever possible but can't do that at work obviously.

I used Mederma for top surgery scars and they look pretty good now. I'd imagine your scars there aren't near as bad as surgical ones, so maybe it will help. But I can't tell if what you have are actually 'scars' or just chafing wounds or something.

Yeah I've been using this "scar gel" generic stuff, that says "compare to Mederma" on the package

The comparison stuff usually has less actual active ingredient in it than the non-knock off brand.  It might help to change.  If it's actual scars, I would suggest Cocoa Butter as well though you'll smell like cookies with it.  If it's chafing wounds [which is what it looks like to me as it looks like what I got when I was crutches], then I'm uncertain what to do other then extra padding.

I have had waxing "scars" that look that bad.  Just treat it right, and it will go away, had waxing damage that took a few months to heal and as said it looked similar in redness and annoyance.

I once got a product called "Bio-oil" to get rid of scars and it seemed to do a good job even on pretty bad scars (i.e. not just discoloured skin but also where part of the tissue underneath was gouged out so there was a dent in the skin).

Really? Wow. I'll have to try that on my top surgery scars.

i used to get really chafed when i bound so i put baby powder on my skin where it rubbed. Don't know if thatll help or not.

this! in my younger days i had surface piercings in my arms, two of them grew out, two of them were RIPPED out, and now theres just 3 noticeable little dots when i have a big tan and i only really notice them cos i know theyre there. i used bio oil for them.

and these were large scars! about an inch long each, and deep as they were surface piercings.

If I were you I would invest in a different style of binder so you can let those pressure areas heal some. A different shape or different material just to change the pattern of wear on your skin.

Ugh, I hate Bio-Oil. Even in small amounts, the stuff stinks to high heaven and gives me a pounding headache.

But then, I'm sensitive to fragrances. If you are, too, then you might give Bio-Oil a wide berth.

im lazy so just before bed for like 2 months. and they'd been scars forever, huge lines down my arm

I have a ton of self harm scars and I used to use bio-oil on them....and I also used it for stretchmarks I got from pregnancy

It did jack-diddly-squat for me, and it's horrendously expensive. Like Arch says it smells so strong....and it really just feels like rubbing vegetable oil on

The only thing I can think is a generous application of Sudocreme - it's for nappy rash but I use it for any kind of skin problem and it works a treat.

Mine came in the mail and was badly packaged, so all the contents were drenched in Bio-Oil. That was fun. I had one of those epic allergy headaches. They're nothing like migraines, of course, but they're bad enough.

I used Kelocote on my surgery scars, but I'm not sure it helped.
