I'll be sulking because I have to resort to self-help.  Long distance gets old fast.

Well, my state of being in a relationship has gone from yes to no to I don't even in the past day, but even so my plans are:
-Go to school and be depressed watching all the other kids get flowers from friends and partners
-Take an AP Bio test

Ah, AP Bio.... That test was so easy.

Well...  :icon_bunch: ...feel better?  ;D

Nothing. I don't have anyone and while I do think it's heavily commercialized, but so is Thanksgiving which is a newer holiday than V-Day [see:  Thanksgiving as we know it was created in the late 1800s and V-Day was being actively celebrated in the 1600s and finds its roots in Roman times...and yet you don't hear people complaining about Thanksgiving other than me], I still like to celebrate it on occasion if I have someone.

But I don't this year so...I will be staying home and applying to jobs.  Oh, I'll also be celebrating my parents' dog's birthday [Miss Kitty turns 9].^^

You obviously missed the Thanksgiving threads I was a part of. I have a serious beef with Thanksgiving, but I'd rather not get into it.

And, seriously? Miss Kitty? Does she chase and bark at herself?  ???

Anywho, I'll be going to school, doing homework, finishing my bibliography for an English paper about tone ( ::)), and working out.  :P

You don't eat beef on Thanksgiving, turkey!

Oh, yeah? Well, I'm thankful for my freedom to choose to eat beef on any holiday I want.  :P

Anywho, I also remembered that I'll be building a cardboard boat.  :P

lol, you're obviously much better at science than I am; I only got a 1 on the exam.  ;D Though, dissecting the pig was a lot of fun in class.

Have a nice V-day Diana and Devlyn  :-*

I find AP Bio to be easy, but sometimes I accidentally say things I don't mean to. Like today, when I stated that Cordata was classified by the presence of a spinal column, and the teacher corrected me right after I realized I had said that in place of notochord. I turned an impressive shade of red and facepalmed for a fairly long amount of time. Why do I say things when I mean something else :I

Tsk, tsk. Young man, that's no mistake an intelligent person like you should be making.  :P

...I flipping hate Thanksgiving.  Mostly because now that I'm in Texas it'll mean seeing extended family. D: Though my class on U.S. nationalism definitely didn't help. xD

:P My parents named her after the girl from Gunsmoke and That 70s show. XD

My V-Day's plan has changed to:  roleplay on Elysium, eat spaghetti, and exercise.  And pretend I'm not lonely by cuddling the dog.

Me and the girlfriend will both be ignoring the over commercialised rubbish. She was so happy that I agreed that it's silly because you should love and treat your partner as well as possible all year round, not just on one day.

Doesn't help that she's on crutches at the moment either so can't get here, or up to her room if I go there easily.

I'll be convincing my boyfriend to continue to take his antibiotics xD. Poor bastard got a nasty case of gastroenteritis, and the poor guy still isn't back on solids ;_;. So I will baby him and try to get him to drink chicken broth. Homemade broth is great when you have a stomach infection, all the nutrients without the diarrhea or sodium :'D.

Since its already Valentine's day in Japan, I am done with my celebrations. I celebrated it by getting a job contract. Frankly, it was the best V-day ever. I've been looking for a job for nearly a year. Huzzah!

Awesome! That's one way to have a happy Valentine's Day.
Going to try to stay awake during the test, though I could probably do it in my sleep  :P It''s all elementary stuff- DNA, biotechnology and genetic engineering, Origin of Species, Hardy-Weinberg Theory, and various assorted things that are just nonsensical to test on. I get funny looks and some glares when we get tests back, because people with 51s are jealous of people with 100s. But hey, it's not like it's all that hard. Just a bit of thinking and proper storage in your memory. People need to de-clutter the proverbial desk in their minds these days, and then maybe cortisol levels would drop and free time would be gained and obesity wouldn't be as much of an issue, even though it's partly genetic. There'd be more time and energy dedicated to physical health.

Okay, end ego-inflating ramble. Spending this morning trying to get my whatever he is now to stop self-bashing because it's bad.

I will spend today hiding under my blankets and waiting for chocolates to go on sale tomorrow.
  •

Adam (birkin)

I'll be spending it just like any other day. I've never been too hung up on V-Day, in or out of a relationship. The only thing I don't want to see is people eating face in public, because that's disgusting, but I inevitably will. -_-

So today I have work, then a meeting with my supervisor, then realistically I'll nap. Seeing a friend as well, then maybe talking to friends tonight.
