Anyone that's got a ReelMagik prosthetic, or has touched/felt/seen one up close, does anything about the flex rod hinder this prosthetic from being rigged into an STP? And if so, what about it is hindering it?

Thanks

I've got 2 RM prosthetics...only one has the flex rod.  I haven't actually tried to use it as an STP, but from what I can tell the flex rod is hollow inside, and should be able to be used for an STP...not exactly sure how you would go about it though.  I've never tried...they are just too beautiful to destroy accidentally if I messed it up!  Good luck!

From what I read, the flex rod is a bunch of ball joints...if that's the case, I wonder if hollow or not, could those joints go without tearing latex or TPE tubing...hmm. I suppose if I really wanted to shell out a grip of money to try to improve the RM for my life, I could try to open it up enough to see the flex rod and understand how it works. If I try it and it works, I can't imagine who wouldn't want that. My STP is a life saver for the urinals at work, I just wish there was a legitimate pack, piss, and play packer out there that didn't involve having to insert a rod before trying to have sex, or looked completely unrealistic. There's got to be a way to make that happen, just a matter of how.

At any rate,
thanks for that response! Got my brain ticking now. :)

I thought you didn't take out the flex rod. I'm guessing you might be able to use the hole (if they would just drill you one (probably extra) that might work. You'd lube it and stuff the tubing thru the hole. Of course, you couldn't use it for play. I'm guessing you might be able to find some kind of silicone rod for the occasion.

What I'm wondering is if a latex or TPE tube could go through that flex rod without breaking or tearing if it is hollow, if that's the case you could use it for all three.

im pretty sure the reelmagik prosthetics have a gel silicon substance inside that would ooze out if you tried to poke a hole thru. im not 100% but thats what ive heard from many people

I'm guessing YOU could not poke thru it. The other thing is even if it didn't have the gel substance, silicone is really hard to work with. I am pretty sure that the basic packer does not have this gel, but I have no idea how you would make a hole. I believe it would be dangerous to try and use a heated tool.

But if they make them with the flex rod, you ask them not to give you the flex rod, just put the hole in. I don't think the rod is hollow so you couldn't use it to play, only STP and pack. I'm thinking that the one with a hole may actually be made with a slightly different mold.

maybe, i asked them about it once (long time ago so i could be remembering wrong) and i think they said something along the lines of that they couldn't do it because the gel substance would ooze out. im actually going to e-mail them about it though cause i would like to know.

It works with the Reelmagik basic packer.

That's the problem, it's 2013, there HAS to be a way to create one that does all three. It'll take some thought and trial and error but I fail to believe it isn't possible. Maybe not with theirs, but there's got to be a way.

Emil, I think that the RM basic packer is only two layers. No gel.

Can anyone confirm this about the basic packer? I have the basic packer and I am itching to poke a hole through it to make it a stp. I am having stp packer woes. I really want my reelmagik to be my stp packer but at $80 a pop I don't want to ruin it. From the feel of my packer I don't think it has the gel in it like the higher models do. Here is my video of me doing a squish test. What do you guys think? gel or no gel? to poke or not poke... lol

Definitely doesn't look like there's gel inside it, I don't know though. It looks more like mine, and mine's from Urimate. Looks like that one was just made with a more detailed mold.

From RM site: "The Basic Packer is created by using the same silicone gels used in our FTM Medical Prosthetics, but have only 2 layers of soft silicone (in contrast, our Prosthetic Penis models have up to 7 layers of silicone).  This still provides a realistic feeling flaccid penis, and will lay and tuck very nicely in the pants, much like a real penis.  Unlike other packer models on the market, our packer is not sticky, and should not need to be powdered."
I think "gels" is being used strictly because I think silicone is a gel, but there are only two layers. The top is kind of the skin (can be pulled away a bit if done carefully, esp by the balls). The lower layer creates the form. I think you'd be *safe* poking it, as in it won't ooze, but you could damage it. I am sure people have done this, but I don't know what tool you'd use to do it. You have to not mind possibly damaging a $80 packer.

BTW, I don't think it's so pure. I understand allergies to silicione are rather rare. I get itching (but no rash). I am guessing since it is porous it is not entirely clean. (And yes, I wash it.) I would not recommend boiling.

urimate uses mr. limpy and or sailor soft pack. which are both made of cyberskin which is a blend of rubbers  etc. reelmagik is medical grade silicone...

I meant in his video the material looked very similar in the way that it was pulled and poked.

Yeah I tried with the Basic Packer. Works almost as well as with cyberskin packers, although it will tear more easily. Also, silicone gel doesn't necessarily mean it is actually liquid, I have been told. I certainly wouldn't recommend trying it on a prosthetic, though, as I wouldn't want to risk accidentally wrecking it.
