I made it! It was AMAZING. Here's a quick rundown before I turn in (I just got home to NYC after trekking down to the Con), but I'll go more in-depth later:
From what I can tell, the whole team was there: three guys in total. And yes, they were extremely sweet and accommodating. Even to me, and I was literally there for a good twenty minutes feeling up the merchandise and asking questions on and off. They set up a table displaying three types of products: their basic packers (in all five colors) and two versions of their prosthetics (three with flex rods-a 6 in advanced w/ human hair in an M6, an 8 in advanced w/ synthetic hair in an M15, and a 10 in advanced w/o hair in what looked like an M6, as well-and one without-an M6 (I think) advanced w/o hair). They also brought along actual color samples, one for each of the skin tones offered. Now for the fun.
1. The overall look and feel of the prosthetics were TO DIE. The balls were especially realistic, on the 4 in, specifically. I could not tell the difference between the prosthetic and the real thing in that respect, or in respect to coloring/detailing. The shafts on the larger prosthetics were a little less realistic, IMO because there was so much material and the material is so motile and flexible that when the flex rod is bent, it bunches up oddly. This didn't happen on the 6 in, though.
2. They are working on new designs, including an STP, a "mid-range model" between the 4 in and 6 in versions, and THREE-DIMENSIONAL TESTICLES on their current 6 in and 8 in models.
3. As it stands, the 6in and 8 in DO NOT have full 3D balls and they were smaller than I expected. The new 10 in (which was properly massive...almost comically so, but looked amazing anyway) has 3D balls similar to the 4in model.
4. The skin tones look very different in person. At least a shade lighter than expected for the brown tones, and in some cases "deeper" or "blander". They really need to agree to send out customer samples.
5. They debuted two new "additions": a human hair option (for people who want hair punched into their prosthetic) and a 10-INCH PROSTHETIC w/FULL 3D BALLS.
6. They explained the design of their flex rod and why it doesn't bend closer to the body...more on that later.
7. They explained how they updated their design to make it more difficult for the flex rob to accidentally "poke through".
8. They are currently working through a 100 order queue and in the midst of a move to a larger studio. Orders will take longer because of this (and there was A TON of enthusiasm, so I'm sure orders will pour in over the next few weeks).
9. Their packers are much softer than they used to be; I wore mine to the Con and was amazed at the difference in feel between mine and the ones on display. One of the guys told me that mine was a "firm" model; apparently, they used to sell different softness options, then only the firm, and now, an updated version of the soft is their default. You CAN specifically request a harder model, however.
