Well, this weekend I set out on an adventure.

I will be "crossplaying" for the whole weekend.

Basically, this means dressing as a member of the opposite sex (not gender) and pretending to be a member of the opposite sex.

I will be attempting to pass as male in order to play the part of cafe boy Shin Moriyama (no I'm not Asian, his name has a story) and create a fantasy world.

I am nervous as nervous can be.  I may throw up yet.

Wish me luck, all.

Good luck, Tay!

What fun-- especially once you lose your self-consciousness/self-awareness and can just be your self.

Let us know how it goes.

So far, it is going well.  I did a "cake party" put on by some of my fangirls (Yes.  I have fangirls for my character.  they bought me an EXTREMELY expensive white tea that smells like heaven in tea form.)  When I was leaving, I dropped character for a moment, long enough to ask them "Did I do okay?"

Their response was so lovely I actually squeed (A squee is a high-pitched squeal of joy).

"We weren't sure it was you because when you walked in, we thought that you were really a guy.  We thought we were still gonna have to wait for Shin (my "name") to arrive!"

I was all happy.  I passed the fangirl inspection.  Now I just have to get through HOURS of intensive RP with people who don't know me.... That may be harder.

I do have a WONDERFUL hotel story, though.

I got in from the cake party at 3 am or so.  So my roommates left before me and I was still curled up and sleeping.  I sleep like a bump on a log, under all the blankets folded on me and with my head under the pillow.

I woke up to SCREAMING.

The maid had come in to clean (I'm in a hotel) and I hadn't heard her asking if anyone was in the room!  So... Yes.  I scared the poor woman half to DEATH.  She pulled the pillow off my head to make the bed and THERE WAS A BODY!  I woke up and told her it was okay, I wasn't upset and yada yada yada, but the poor woman is going to be telling that story for years, I'm sure!

Anyways, more reports shortly!

I squeed at your gift of tea: Mmmmmm, it sounds delightful.

Keep it up!

I did it.  I was such a good boy (not a "good boy" he he) that I was hit on by two gay men and cuddled with by another.

There should be photos and videos soon, I hope.

The cafe went really well.
