I've been doing research in my area and I don't really know what to look for when it comes to Drs and who I would see for getting a consultation about starting HRT. I live in Shelton, Connecticut and it looks like the closest support groups are very far away from where I live. Also I know everyone is different when it comes to the effects of HRT, but i have a good amount of muscle, not seen though. Is there anyone who had a muscular tone, I guess to say, and how did the transitioning affect them?

Pretty much any and all information would be helpful. In process of getting a job, get my own coverage (currently on my parents and they don't know about me yet), and starting the process asap.

Best thing is to get in touch with a gender therapist or someone who specializes in treating transgender people, support groups can usually point you in the right direction if you don't know.

In terms of muscle mass from what I've seen, you can expect over time to lose a lot of it as well as a lot of strength but again that takes time. I can only speak from what I've observed with other people since I didn't have much muscle to start with.
"For transpeople, using the right pronoun is NOT simply a 'political correctness' issue. It's core to the entire struggle transpeople go through. Using the wrong pronoun means 'I don't recognize you as who you are.' It means 'I think you're confused, delusional, or mentally I'll.'. It means 'you're not important enough for me to acknowledge your struggle.'"

Well the muscle tone isn't really that manly at all. Pretty much the only places you can tell that I have muscular tone is my arms, shoulders, and back, but my legs no matter how much I exercise will always stay thick like a girls.

Ill look around some more and see if I can find a gender therapist who will let me talk to them before anything money wise gets thrown around cause I'm broke and my state loses jobs I lose hair.
