Just wondering about clotting and all

they should be if you take it slow and gradually. and try not to get to the level of Dita von Teese. at most use it for extremely minor contouring because...

1. obvious health problems can arise.
2. It's a fashion phase. It will pass and there's no reverse corset :P

I've used one before for an anime convention pre hrt. This won't be a daily thing, just for conventions :p

ohhhh. well in that case you could pull something a little tighter, but make sure you can breath and all that good biologically sustaining stuff. if you have sever blood problems though I'm not qualified to help with that and give you anything accurate, so I'd wait for others to post or to ask around for professional advice.

I just remember last time i used one, when i took it off, I literally felt the blood flood back into my skin. Just wondering if that would pose a clotting risk. Thanks for replies

When I tried a corset for a few days the side-effects were higher blood pressure and swollen feet. Would that contribute to increased clotting? Perhaps. It's better to ask a physician than a random person on a forum. Ten people, ten opinions.

If you search for the thread "tight lacing" you'll get some more info there.  I've been corsetting on and off, I have managed to get an inch off the waist and so far have not seen any adverse side effects.  If you're just corsetting occasionally then I don't think there would be any ill effects.

I love a good corset, so I was left a little vexed when I asked myself the same question re blood-clotting.

I think even the most pro-corset websites will warn you of the dangers of tight corsetting, waist-training etc., irrespective of whether you are taking or not taking hormones. I imagine that there is some extra risk involved if you are on hormones. At least, to be safe, that's the assumption that I'm making.
