I am looking through my packet.

I know that 4,700 is due three weeks before surgery. And I know that the remaining 1,300 is due the day of surgery(or day before, whatev)

here is where I was hoping to get some clarification.

"Dr. Garramone's surgical fee quotes do not include lab work, pathology, cost of preoperative testing or consultations,
cost of prescription medications, x-rays, or cost of postoperative garments. Dr. Garramone's surgical fee applies only to his performance of your procedure. We will explain all Hospital fees, etc, during your consultation and all hospital and anesthesia fees must be paid to the hospital separately on the date of surgery. All financing will be assessed a 6% Administration fee from our office in addition to the amount financed. This is non-refundable."

Now I am assuming that the lab work, pathology, preoperative testing.. that is just the cost of going to a Dr in your hometown to get medical clearance right?

and medicine, obviously you pay for that, later, after surgery

Ok, maybe I kinda answered my own question but I want to BE SURE.  Is all of this mumbo jumbo, is it just the 1,300 that you pay the day of surgery?  It pretty much just means you are paying Garramone for his time, and that this packet is just being super specific by telling you ALL of the fee's you will have to pay for surgery, not necessarily the fee's you owe them?

What about anesthesia? That is included in the 1,300 right?

And while I am at it, what stuff should I be sure to bring?  What stuff should I be prepared for?

I already have a list of things I will need..if you have anything extra to add, let me know!

1) baby wipes
2)washcloth and soap (if i get sick of babywipes)
3)stool softener
4) enema (dont tell me how I will manage that one.. but just in case?)
5)silicone strips (after reveal)
6) compression socks

TWO MORE MONTHS!!

You should call his office too be 100% sure of the answer.
I've called before just for random questions and they were super nice.

I remember from previous discussions on what to take for top surgery people kept recommending long bendy straws. I assume the limited range of movement in your arms means that you can't raise a drink to your mouth too easily.
