Angela???

I was sitting at home tonight, watching the tv, when I relised I had a big smile on my face, and I mean really BIG! And was smiling  from the inside out! ;D
I have not smiled like that for many years.

I thought to my self why do I have this smile on my face?

ANSWER: I was sitting with my family, but in my correct gender!
This gave me another really big smile! Made me really happy to feel like the real me!
This is due to starting my transition.

So what has put the biggest smile on your face? Could be something that happened today or just something that has happened in the past.

So what has put the BIGGEST SMILE on your face?

There are many after I went full time, But the biggest one was exactly 5 months 8 days after I went full time, the day my fiance put the engagement ring on my finger. It was the most happiest moment in my life and it felt like all my dreams has became true. Finally I am a woman and I met the man of my dreams, fell in love and now he want to spend the rest of his life with me. Out of all the woman in the world he wants to marry me.

I felt like a princess in a fairy tale.

Thank you, but i still have a long way to go, as I have only just started my Transition.
So Tuesday is a busy day, psychologist, glasses, Laser and then teeth. Should be a great start, then nose job and brow lift and maybe some other FFS at some point. Oh HRT at some time in the near future.

Thanks again. You sure put a smile on my face! Thanks

I think my happiest moment was Day 1 of HRT. Even though the physician only gave me a small dose to start. I was all smiles that night. :D

Sorta pales in comparison to your engagement, though.
Don't lose who you are along the path to who you want to be.

Nahhhhhh....... You can't compare happiness hun. What ever the reason behind it, Happiness is happiness. No one can tell this one is better than that one. When you are happy you are happy  ;)

the first hormone treatment (day 1 of HRT) followed by a close second when my breast buds formed, knowing that I now was becoming the woman I knew I was.
Enjoying ride the hormones are giving me... finally becoming the woman I always knew I was

I can tell my own happiness if I was in a getting engaged situation would be substantially more than my happiness at swallowing a gigantic Spiro tablet, though. They just aren't comparable.

"For transpeople, using the right pronoun is NOT simply a 'political correctness' issue. It's core to the entire struggle transpeople go through. Using the wrong pronoun means 'I don't recognize you as who you are.' It means 'I think you're confused, delusional, or mentally I'll.'. It means 'you're not important enough for me to acknowledge your struggle.'"

Having street performers in the french quarter call me beautiful in their song as I walk by :)
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

My biggest smile came when I took my VTNE and the word "Passed" came up.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

Seeing Caleb when he gets home. I get a big smile then. Waking up and seeing me in the mirror every morning too.

When no one is home and I can dress up / act in full female mode. I feel as if I'm not hiding anything and a huge burden is lifted off my shoulders.

When I realized that I could actually do this and that what were previously fleeting fantasies and wishes whipping any which way in the wind was actually my new reality. That makes me smile. That made me stop self-destructing. Oh and of course shopping for cute tops or shoes. I never in a million years thought I would do that without a gaggle of women pointing an laughing at me like some freak with six arms and three eyes.

A nice thread thank you!

There have been so many since becoming me so I'm trying to think of different ones.

One that did make me feel really special was giving my first lecture to 200 odd students as me. The week before I had given a lecture as him and it was one of my first really big challenges.

I did it, walked out there, stood there and gave the lecture and didn't flinch.

It sort of proved to me that nothing was ever going to stop me.

Lately I've been voice practicing on video chat with some people from the chat.

I get a pretty huge smile when i realize that as we talk and practice our voices, its my full on personality not muted by anything. Not holding back scared to be out there.

I see me. And its amazing.

I had the biggest smile ever when I saw how long my hair was getting last week when I took this pic :)

Ever since I was younger I have dreamed about how my hair color would be if it was longer...finally I know, and I love it :)
