Nope....though some of us are hardcore transwomen.   :)

Good luck with being a conservative in today's world and being trans. Go to any conservative forum and talk about anything remotely trans and you'll get 10,000 people universally saying you are from satan. Or even better go to a conservative town meeting and admit you remotely support trans people not being killed and see what happens.

I do tend to agree that for the most part, conservatives do not care for trans people. However, we have a number of conservative trans individuals on this site. I think they are actually quite accepted in their beliefs.

I tried that. People were very friendly, especially when I made it clear that I wasn't accusing all present of attempted murder. :[
Don't lose who you are along the path to who you want to be.

Zoe you seem like a really cool person and I don't hate conservatives (I don't hate anyone) but I have to look at people's actions. Arizona in the last couple of years has been a kind of vanguard state where ideas are proposed and written into law and then other states follow. So, if this bill is any indicator, have fun using the bathroom.

But you can get that anywhere on the internet. And btw I live in a heavily conservative area and have yet to have anyone try to kill me or say anything negative to me. And you should probably calm down and lay off this subject before this thread gets locked too. :)

Had a sit down talk with my assistant manager. She basically got to hear my whole story and seemed really happy for me. She said if anyone harasses me to let her know immediately and was excited and very interested by the whole thing. It ended with another hug. ;D

Another down....sooo many more to go... :P

"For transpeople, using the right pronoun is NOT simply a 'political correctness' issue. It's core to the entire struggle transpeople go through. Using the wrong pronoun means 'I don't recognize you as who you are.' It means 'I think you're confused, delusional, or mentally I'll.'. It means 'you're not important enough for me to acknowledge your struggle.'"

Your success gives me courage. Congratulations and thank you.  You go girl.
To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

I was once told, just prior to starting HRT, that both acceptance and (unfortunately) rejection will come from unexpected places. Its been the case to this day.
I prefer to be true to myself, even at the hazard of incurring the ridicule of others, rather than to be false, and to incur my own abhorrence. — Frederick Douglass (1817-1895)

I was kind of hoping posting the experiences would have that effect. ;D
