Eventual breast size on estrogen

OK, so I'm nowhere near HRT at this moment in time, but one key thing I've thought about recently for when I eventually do start is breast growth.

A lot of sources seem to conflict on what the eventual size will be. Some sources say it's rare for breasts to exceed an A cup, while others say you can expect breasts around 1-2 cup sizes smaller than your mother's. For the record, I'd much rather the former be true - A or B cup would do me just fine, and all the women in my family have F-G cup!

Furthermore, it's worth noting that I have pectus excavatum, which I imagine will probably make finding bras that fit more difficult...

But yeah, primarily I'm concerned as to what general size I can expect - if the average woman in my family is F/G cup, does that mean I could end up with D/E cup breasts? Or (as I hope is the case) is it likely to be a lot smaller?

It's unusual for us to end up with anything higher than a C cup.

Your potential breast growth is said to be "somewhat smaller than that of close relatives". But the keyword is "potential". Other things can affect their size.

But honestly, it would be surprising to see you with less than an A cup if everyone in your family has F-G, unless you're much thinner.

Ah, and I don't believe that it's "rare to see one exceed an A cup". That's not true. Or maybe it is in older women who are taking an inadequate antiandrogen and a conservative dose of estrogens, or some other suboptimal treatment. From what I've seen (which I admit is not much), the average in trans women is only a little smaller than in the rest of women.

That would be my ideal, as well. I'm almost there!!

One thing to remember when it comes to breasts is YMMV, or your millage may vary....basically it depends on existing body fat and genes. My millage could be phenomenal and i end up being a D cup because of a higher body fat content, where as you could possibly be skinnier then my 200+lb self and end up being a B cup when done. But one thing to remember when it comes to breasts with trans girls, 1 it's ALWAYS gonna be the story of that enormous fish that you don't have a picture of that was *stretches arms all the way out* that big....i mean it was massive....and 2 in the end if your unhappy in any way, there is always plastic surgery.

Hope i could help.

Kari.

There's a website called second type woman that has a lot if photographs of the type of breats trans women at various ages have. Basically, growing breats on an androgenized skeleton leads to a different shape breast than those of a natal female. There's no real way to predict what will happen in individual cases. One thing everyone agrees on though is, don't smoke, it stunts your growth.

Can anyone hint or comment on any negative impacts on growth through using forms or sports bras while they're growing?

I'm worried about putting too much pressure on the area in general.

Apparently we are not allowed to post our dosages on here, so suffice it to say,
after 1 year I have B cups...and they levitate...and I couldn't be happier. ^-^

1 year on HRT here. I have B cups. I definitely need a bra. More for armour than support at this point. They are so tender and my bra offers protection from my breasts being unnecesarily bumped. I had a friend help me get sized and already have gone through 2 sizes. Just make certain that the bra is not too tight. It should fit that as you wear one, you almost forget you are.
Hope this helps.

If you're skinny or have little fat on your body then your final breast size may be limited. After 5 years of HRT and little more than A cups, I got a BA. They're still good after 14 years..

Cassandra I've read hundreds of different accounts of HRT breast growth over the years. You can read quite a few today on this forum. The only thing anyone can truthfully tell is that there is no way way tell before starting HRT what amount of breast growth you will have-- at all.

It obviously varies a whole lot from situation to situation. While I have read a few accounts of large breast growth from HRT alone these seem extremely rare. For most the breast size tends to be modest. In fact some have almost none. For some people, such as Tesla (above) there is still development going on after many years. For others, there is considerable growth in just a few months.

You won't get any idea of what to expect from this thread. There's just no way to tell in advance.

Looking at the Second Type Woman site it appears that anything above a Tanner Stage III is rare, which sucks cause I'd like some rounding out at the bottom. But if you get  B cups or even nice A cups, I think that's a happy point. Not all cis females get big breasts either. In any event, why would you even want DD cups? That sounds way too big. My main concern is areola diameter. I'd like wider ones. I mean so many of our issues and concerns seem to be a lot of guesswork and comparison to other trans women.

I tried to work out what tanner stage im at and failed miserably.
I think I'm a 36 B or C..seems to change daily :p

Wow if your a 36C that's amazing! How long have you been on HRT for? Your breast size shouldn't flucuate too much and a lot of their appearance depends on rib cage size. My rib cage has shrunk an inch. I used to have an underbust measurement of 34 maybe even a little more and now it is 33. My bust size stayed at 35. So I'm like a 34B I think. Maybe 34A. I didn't think chest circumference could shrink but I assure it has happened.

Conversion charts get really confusing and you should never ever rely on a bra calculator on the Web since they almost always add four inches. (There's a ton of fashion bloggers who are up in arms over this since it's wrong and it makes people for worse. I mean really if you added four inches then to be a 36B you'd need a 32 inches chest.)

Everyone I  tried said I'm a 38B. A 38 band size would be falling off my tiny a** body. Basically, with the whole Tanner thingy the difference between III and IV or V is the rounding out at the bottom of the breasts. If you can hold a pencil under your boobs then your are a four or five.

I started HRT at age 25, at which age according to specific websites my breasts should be tiny and mannish.  Fortunately most of that information is severely out dated!

I am a 38B now, and could possibly grow into a C if they keep moving the way they are.

There shape is not 100% perfect yet which is to be expected at puberty.
