Rowan that is SO sweet of you to say!! It's silly for me to imagine you being jealous of anyone with a face and figure like your own, though... you gorgeous woman you! You've been looking cis and fabulous since like... day 2! :)

I feel like my progress so far is mainly a component of continuous hard work and excellent support structures (I got really lucky with my friends, family, work- allowing me to experiment and push myself forward without fear of rejection). But, I think it might also be a testament to how effective pellet implants can be. I started on a midrange dose of 7 pellets and 1 progesterone shot (lasting dec->march) and now I'm almost maxed out at 10 pellets, double progesterone shot, and additionally a progesterone implant. It's expensive as all get out, but at this point I have no regrets about the price. Did I also mention I've never been happier in my life? No mood swings ever, no anxiety, no weight gain, only love for the universe. But I guess I've always loved the universe ;)

@ Jennygirl - I vote you winner of "most dramatic change in shortest time on HRT"
I thought the magic pills were working fast on me but damn, I'm jealous.

Jennygirl, do you not take an AA? or does the progesterone act as an AA? You do look super-fab! I wish I had your results.

Yes you are correct, I am not taking an AA. And yes you are correct, the progesterone effectively acts as one :) He said I should have some testosterone in my body or I would become very unhealthy and mentally unstable, and said he only occasionally has prescribed a super low AA dose only if absolutely necessary for hypersensitive t receptors or abnormally high t levels- I have neither I guess.

Although I'd love it if my arm muscle went bye bye. Maybe I'll just wear arm casts for a few months... Lol

Thanks Channel! I'm happy to answer your questions :)

I've been on HRT for about 4.5 months. Geez the time starts to fly! Umm diet.. I've been eating mostly salads with protein and occasionally treating myself to cravings for random things. If I do eat meat it's usually fish, only very occasionally red meat  / chicken. I try to keep that to a minimum. I'm pretty accustomed to a low sugar diet. Exercise.. I do some bicycle riding and I've always been a strong cyclist. Other than that, I don't really work out. I've been trying not to use my arms to lift anything over 5lbs because I want the muscles in that area gone. I've seen some improvement- about 3/4" off of each arm since I started hormones. I feel like my shower routine is my biggest enemy right now though when it comes to my arms.. I noticed the other morning that they are a bit pumped up after I get out of the shower and dry off.. Probably from shaving and shampooing all the hair and then toweling it :P I've been more conscious of it though, I guess I was used to being pretty forceful with my toweling techniques.

Also- I've been trying to correct my posture, I kind of consider it a form of exercise. Shoulders up then back, tip of the head up and back. It definitely seems to help the shoulder width issue, and I'm getting better spine alignment at the same time which is always good.

What??? So you don't even have to pee all the time?!?  I am soooo jelly right now ;)
That's fabulous though, I'm very happy for you.
I'd never heard of that approach to hormone treatment before. Can you point me in the direction of some information on it?  I probably couldn't afford it this year but I might consider switching things up next year if business is good.

I totally agree with you comments on correcting ones posture.  Remembering to keeps one's shoulders back and down has a huge impact on how feminine one appears.  Plus it's good practice to get into for those of us who spend our working lives in front of computers and sewing machines or driving between the two (gods I hated what having to comute all the time did to my body!)
I personally can't wait to get back to exercising the way I want.  I got my hernia repair done today and in two months I'll finally, after two and a half years of pain, be able to work out regularly and for sustained periods.  Gonna get me that beach body just in time for winter!

If I may ask, what is your cup size?  You look to be doing amazingly well in the bust department from that photo of you in that gorgeous new dress.  I'm about at an A/B right now but as we all know a little padding can work wonders!
Anyway, I just love seeing your progress.  As we started HRT only 6 days appart you're sort of my favorite person to watch :)

This is an info PDF from the place where my endocrinologist orders his pellets from:
http://www.collegepharmacy.com/images/download/BHRTPelletFAQ.pdf

I am getting estrogen + progesterone implants with a special booster shot that my endo refuses to tell anyone the contents. He calls it the "pink panther" and yes it is actually pink <3 the hormone implants kind of look like small bits of rabbit feed... light charcoal texture and cylindrical.

Yeah correct posture is amazing! I've been much more aware of it the past week and I already feel like it's making a huge difference in my ability to pass. I am glad to hear you will be back in business, too :)

I am a full A now, and breast growth only seems to be ramping up. My mother is a B cup, so I'm not expecting to get anything bigger than that, but I'm already happy with what I have. In the photo I'm wearing a strapless VS "fabulous" bra size 34A- I got it just before taking that photo and I looooove itttt... !

...and ditto! You have an impeccable sense of style! It consistently inspires me every time your photos cross my mind. If you are ever in LA or when I finally make it up to Seattle we gotta gotta hang out! Maybe we could celebrate our year on HRT anniversary together? :D :D :D

I would love that!  I'm in LA once or twice a year to visit friends and go fabric shopping so we'll totally have to get together. A one year HRT celebration would be "totes amaze" as they say  ;D we should make it happen.

Thanks I been having some good hair days the last few days. I don't know if you could call it a hair cut I'm still growing out from my last guy hair cut last spring! I think I might be getting better at styling it.

I posted this pic in another thread. I JUST pic'ed myself tonight; I woke up after napping with my boyfriend before he went to work, and decided to take a newer picture of myself.

;D I need to smile more!

That's awesome Rowan! I'm so happy for you! Congrats! I love your fashion btw and if I ever achieve my goal of working for Vogue or Marie Claire, I'll be sure to feature you in a blurb. I used to run a fashion and beauty section for a parent's magazine.

Loved your blog by the way! Your first post made me cry. It was so heartfelt. :-*

Thanks Joanna, nice to know people are reading it, I've never really written before but I seem to have the bug now.  I think it's another one of those estrogen induced brain changes!
