I took a month off after the challenge - my bday, a trip away etc and ate basically whatever I wanted - and now I've just started the next 12 week challenge Honestly the big factor in my weight loss has been diet and cutting out sodas and chocolate - I am a self confessed chocoholic! I had to start small though - so the first week I cut back on things like 1 can of soda a day instead of 2 or 3 (or more!) until I was able to cut it out altogether. If you try and drop everything at once - you're looking at potential disaster.
