Compresson shorts/binding

Alrighty. So I know that I am going to have to invest in an underworks binder but are the compression shorts or is the compression suit worth it? Does it work? I would like to hear from guys who have a chest/hip measurement of at least 40inches please. Leaner guys are welcome but it helps to hear from the big dudes.
