I remember Terri Gene, we used to pm and email way back when. She died back in 2007 after a series of strokes that were brought on by excessive hormones and smoking. She had told me that she had been self medicating beyond normal prescribed levels and had developed a liver problem which coupled with her tobacco use was to eventually lead to the blood clots that caused the stroke that killed her.

Terri Gene was extremely knowledgable in many ways and was an avid and sometimes contentious poster here on Susan's Place, she had a good heart toward others. She worked at Kaiser Permanente in California as a lab tech collecting specimens from patients and had access to many good medical resources. She was a loving parent and a hot auto enthusiast. I miss Terri Gene but smart as she was she has without a doubt given us all, as I myself have, a good reason to refrain from self medicating with hormones and of using tobacco products while on HRT as it exponentially increases our chances of being with Terri Gene.

I knew many of those people, had lunch with Lea Anne Sparks, she was dealing with cancer even then.
