As promised, I come, to bring the knowledge, of that of which I speak, in my greetings to all: the ShirtWearer:
In the last hundred or so, winters, prior to the Reservation Era, the Lakotah, discerning the foolishness, and the futility, of, the endless cycle, of killings and avengings, enact new traditions; the ShirtWearer, one of these.
The ShirtWearers, 4, elected by the Elders, each summer, persons who display life-long, that they shall ever and always, hold the Welfare of the People, ABOVE, their own wishes, and desires, even to death....the ShirtWearers, persons who shall argue for peace, even when their own relative, lies dead and bloody at their feet...who shall always, remember, to think, to act, to speak, as though that which they shall say and shall enact, THIS day, shall affect those, who come, 7generations from now....knowing, that it indeed, shall do so.
