Ok, it's almost 10pm on the East Coast (USA) and I am bouncy, bouncy, bouncy. I'm now in my workout clothes and getting ready to do half an hour of cardio before bed just to wind down (exams in the morning). Took my shot this afternoon and got a jolt of energy. I'll be like this a day or two. This just recently started when my doc upped my shot frequency from every ten to now seven days.

Does anyone else experience this energy boost the first few days after their shot?

Haha, ended up doing 45 minutes of cardio and a bit of lifting. Exercise is getting addictive.

Nobody else gets a boost of energy after their shot?

I wish I did. I tend to exercise based on mood. If I'm excited about something, I'll do some cardio. Haven't really experienced any appreciable bursts of energy of T. Would be nice.

For me that is hit or miss. Sometimes I can sleep and sleep and sleep. Or sometimes I can't and can't and can't (and that usually does accompany a desire to go and run around the neighborhood or something but purely for self-preservation purposes I don't, neighbors likely think me odd enough without me running around at all hours of the night lmao). I notice it's more often the case of the feeling revved up and whatnot when I've injected into the quad. But I think that has everything to do with how my TT level swings in extremes depending on where I put it... goes higher from the quad, lower from the glute. No idea why yet. Just does.

nah, I actually never feel more energy after my shot.   Never feel different at any point of my "cycle"

That is interesting! I've never injected in my thigh. I've only done glute injections. That's only because I have a feeling the thigh hurts a lot worse.

This energy boost has just started recently since my endo upped my shot schedule (my T was at 295 when I was doing it every 10 days). I was kinda worried that my levels might be really high now but my endo says they shouldn't be with just one more shot every month.

It's not so much that it hurts a lot, it's... well, for me I can just feel every little thing involved in dosing there. It's a quite odd sensation, surely. It's not quite that painful but it's definitely not as nice as say, a blood draw lol. I'd prefer to never have to do it there but I have to be able too if I can't find anyone to do it for me. But once you learn where to do it and where not to do it, it gets a lot better. I once did it so perfectly I had absolutely no aching after the fact at all (not even the benzyl alcohol migrating towards the knee). You just have to be very sure of where it's going to mitigate the pain/discomfort as much as possible. There are a LOT more nerves in the legs than there are in the backside.

But yeah, my TT levels have been all over the dang place. Can't stabilize them. This only started being an issue when we lowered it by half. When my TT was consistently in the 1,100 rang it was fine and stable and now that they've had me try and aim for the 800, it's just not happening... swings by the hundreds, either too low or too high lol.

When it's high, I feel amped up (sometimes not being able to sleep within 24 hours like normal people). When it's lower, I feel lazy (I can sleep episodically). Just one of them things.

Me neither. I feel about the same throughout the week.

I did experience a huge desire to run alot after getting my T short at first. actually I still do somethimes but not as often as when I just started T.

I'm not really into working out.  I'm kinda lazy and have smoker's lungs...
But I really notice the rush I get right after I inject.  When I first started T and wasn't used to it yet, it was almost too much to handle.  I'd get jitters for a few hours after injecting and felt like I had just drank an entire pot of coffee.  It's not as bad anymore, now that I'm used to it I feel really good after my shot.  I usually do it in the mornings before I leave for work, which I sometimes have to do at 4:30 AM.  It wakes me right up and makes getting up super early and working all day a breeze.

Jared

After I got my first shot I slept like never before. It was more than 12 hours. The thought that I'm on my way eased my mind so much. I'll never forget those days. According to the question, I don't feel like I have more energy after my shots but I like working out in general, maybe that's why I don't feel bouncy.
If you want to achieve greatness, stop asking for permission.

It goes both ways for me, my current mood is likely a big factor in there though, my sun sign being Cancer and all.

Not really, I think my natural born laziness is too powerful and it overrides any possible effects of T. :D

The only thing I notice is my mood getting better. When my next shot is getting closer I get extremely irritable because my hormone levels become a mess.

It's funny you guys mention this because I switched (2 months ago) to injecting via my abdominal area and I don't get that burst of energy as regularly anymore! I get it most commonly when I inject in my deltoid.

I never hear of guys injecting in their deltoids but I've thought about it on more than one occasion. Is it safe to inject there?

Are there different rates of absorption depending on what muscle you inject into?

I know for subcutaneous you can, I don't know about Intramuscular though and that seems to be what most guys use. That's where I got my first shot actually!

I=AS far as absorbtion rates. . . I'm not sure, hopefully someone with a history in medicine replies and can answer that lol

Yeah, you can do IM in the deltoid (I've looked at various sources online). Still haven't read anything about different absorption rates depending on where you inject or why the deltoid isn't recommended by most Endos.

My T shot day is Tuesdays so I considered putting it in my deltoid today but then thought I better not and just took it in the glute. I just want to find other areas besides my butt.

This will probably be my last post because I don't wanna have a whole convo on here and piss people off :p. But my nurse told me that it's perfectly fine to inject in the deltoid, it's just hard to do unless someone else does it for you, so they don't really recommend it.  Now I don't know how accurate that is. . like if there's more to it, maybe injecting there is bad or something, I don't know but I couldn't find anything online.

I do know that it is hella hard and awkward doing it myself. I end up leaning my arm against the wall since I can't really squeeze that part of my arm to get the needle in with the other hand lol. You should just go ahead and try another place (common places of course, don't go injecting in your calves or something lol!). I think I'll try my glute next injection. It looks really awkward though so I'll make sure no one's home to bust in on me haha
