does susans irc chat and website work on android phones?

I am getting a samsung phone with android 2.3, is there any special app or program i will need to post on forums and use irc chat? java or a irc client for android?

how does it work, i have never used an android phone before (well i did for 2 days once)

so im new to this

Forums should work fine as-is through the web browser.  For IRC you'd want an app, if you ask in chat I know a number of people use their phones so you can ask them more specific questions.  (I use an iPhone, but many have android.)
