My youngest daughter, who usually refuses to let us buy her new clothes because she isn't interested in fashion, agreed to several new items of clothing today. Most of the credit must go to her big sister, who acted like a personal shopper for her. :)
Now that is awesome. I only have one daughter and unless I do something incredibly stupid I'll only ever have my daughter until I'm either snipped or post-op. I really hope she doesn't get picky like I am about clothing but I highly doubt that'll be the case so I won't have help from other kids in clothes shopping lol.

Anyway, I had a very....umm.....pressured day. I work in the oil field, the Bakken to be specific (to those of whom don't know the Bakken is West Central North Dakota, USA, but other oil patches are continuously appearing here). I'm not the "new guy" anymore and earned my white hard hat not too long ago (green hard hats are rookies and are constantly picked on for anything and everything, white means you earned your keep), I'd say about a month ago. Well today I was voluntold to be the guy in the loader (the operator) for a well head change. This is 12,ooolbs of iron being swapped and guys on the ground remove bolts of the old well head and I discard it and pick up the new one and the guys place the new bolts in and guide me in to place it. Keep in mind they're rarely away from my load and at any moment if I slip on the controls, the chain snaps, or the loader blows a tire, those guys will be seriously injured if not killed. Somehow my first well head change (albeit with a little confusion on my part not being used to being the operator) went extremely well and nobody got hurt. Done in a timely manner and without incident (besides that I got scolded on not shaving (I hate shaving, and hate any body/facial hair equally)).

The rest of the day was spent in a skid-steer and I figured out how to switch the controls into a much easier method for me but again my guys were constantly handling my loads and I had to keep constant vigilance to make sure that I was not only keeping them from getting hurt because of my misjudgment or stupidity but from keeping the skid-steer from not getting damaged while maneuvering in tight confined spaces including our work trucks.

A very, very, stressful day for me. Realizing first hand that the lives of at least 2 people are constantly in my hands. I thoroughly enjoy being the operator. I'm %100 confident in being able to run almost any kind of equipment but when I have people handling my load when it's suspended by a single chain and is near enough to lift the rear tires of the loader off the ground........totally different ball game.

So to "alleviate" the stress which all compounded when I got home (for some reason even though I did a lot less physical work today being the operator I was more exhausted when I got home than when I hammered wrenches all day) I took a well deserved ride on my motorocyle which I haven't really done since I started this job. I came home with some tequila and whiskey (my two devils who I hate to love on rough day) relaxed with some gaming and a nice hot shower.

(As much as I hate having had to "pretend" being a guy for so many years, I can't help but feel pride at being trusted and fully accepted as one of the guys, not just a rookie or greenhorn anymore)

Never heard of Gender Identity Dyphoria, but I've heard of Gender Identity Disorder, which has been replaced by the term Gender Dysphoria.  I think it's just the official label they diagnose us with, but I might be wrong.

Hi Jasriella,

Congratulations on the white hat and being the loader operator! Reading your Happy day on the job, had me sweating & ready for a shower lol. Your responsibility, I can understand the stress. Good that you blew that off with a motorcycle ride, we need to find our way for a release.
Be careful out there.

Trains are cool.

This week has been quite good.
Saw the end of a project I have been working on for the last 2 years.
Had been working up to 90 hours a week and it totally took over my life.
I have been getting senior managers coming up and congratulating me all week, which feels strange as I am a bit numb at the moment as it has drained me that much.

Now I have a week off work and a referral letter for a therapist, so will make an appointment Monday and see what will be.

Another enjoyable session with the pain monster set for tomorrow, face and legs getting zapped.

I still cant believe the difference laser has made. So happy that there is no shadow anymore just a few strays.

So long and thanks for all the fish

I had to go to the pharmacy for some lipstick & eyeliner (I'm all made up & in a dress). A sales lady asked if she could assist me, which I needed as I borrow my wife's eye liner but didn't see a name on it so she suggested one that she finds very reliable, it is the type that is a retractable crayon that my wife likes, so she got me one she uses, Rimmel Exaggerate, it is waterproof & she says it lasts long, the details say 10 hours. Has a built in smudger & sharpener.

I have one more from yesterday. The lab I had never been to before for my bone density scan I phoned ahead to say I would be presenting female in a dress. On arriving & filling out the information form, over the spot where I wrote my male name, I wrote call me Jamie. Bless the receptionist she did call me Jamie. Previous scans I had to leave my clothes in a cubicle & put on a hospital gown, not this time, I was able to lay out on the bed in my dress.

Yesterday when I had my ecg done, a lot of you has to be exposed to place the electrodes on your skin. Many long years ago, whether it is in the lab, your Doctors office or in the hospital, the medical people need to you to be mostly exposed, I learned you have to suck it up, modesty goes out the window.

A lot of little things that happen for the good make you Happy.
Keep these happenings and events coming, I love them.
Jamie

P.S. @Jenny, Hard work pays off, all that you posted, Congratulations!

Trains are cool but not as cool as turtles.

Discord, I'm howlin' at the moon
And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon
Discord, whatever did we do
To make you take our world away?

Discord, are we your prey alone,
Or are we just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord, we won't take it anymore
So take your tyranny away!

Congratulations on your letter, Victor.

I am happy because I have lost all of the weight I had gained being stuffed like a goose by a chubby half-Italian half-robot boyfriend for four months.

I am ready for my next adventure, and my hair looks great.
