I was feeling all sorts of stressed and lonely and sad, and my friend came over and we watched some cat videos on youtube together. I'm glad i have a friend like that. :)

Tried on a new bra and top today.......made me feel really feminine and sexy!!!
I don't have a gender issue.
I love being a girl.

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

Elated over the Affordable Care Act (non-discriminitory clauses, especially...) I'm hoping for great things come Open Season on health care (no "no sex transformations" clause).

And if that weren't enough, my daughter's belated birthday copy of "The Little Mermaid" is coming today!

Also... ordered Toms in a more practical color (Gray, W12). They come tomorrow -- hopefully before I leave for therapy, but unlikely :( . Tomorrow I dress up at therapy! I have an outfit put together (but barely...) just no shoes.

Excluding trans related care IS legal under Affordable Health care Act. It is not legal to refuse you health care due to a pre existing condition.

It's hard to find specific information, but the HHS mandate from 2012 apparently prohibits discrimination of transgender people in the Affordable Care Act. I can't find specific information, but it sounds as though it covers anything short of gender change surgery. This is for the health care chosen by employers. I don't think any of the HHS mandates on this have successfully been overturned, but there's too much in the news this week to tell for sure.

Well, I am cautiously optimistic with the whole healthcare issue.

What are Toms?

I'm optimistic. If it's not this year, it may be the next.

Toms are shoes... they give one pair of shoes away for each pair purchased. http://www.toms.com
And they have size 12 (I'm probably closer to 11, but with wider feet).

I'm a size 9 wide. I was an 11 wide once I started wearing women's shoes but that is no longer the case. I usually buy Nike's. The only issue I have is that I have to go all the way to the outlet mall outside of town because none of the other shops carry wide sizes (why...I have no idea.) We went to the "outlet" of the same shoe store I checked out here in town and I found what I needed in 5 minutes. In contrast to that, I went to every stupid shop in my immediate area and found nothing that was worth crap. All of the shoes I found were too narrow or they were ugly as sin. I wish the buses ran out to that mall but they don't.

I've heard you can wear a size (or two) up and emulate a wide shoe with extra room in the toe. That's probably a good thing for some pointy women's shoes!

How did you go down two whole sizes?! How do I get some of that magic? I'd like to be a few inches shorter, too, please!! :D
Actually... my favorite young woman at the office is an inch shorter than me... unless she has a heel. Then she's way over my height.

EDIT: Right... happy things... "The Little Mermaid" is HERE!! Is it bad if I watch it tonight, myself, not this weekend with my daughter?

I finally got my student loan! I can afford my textbooks, pay for my son's day care, afford T, and I treated myself to some books.

Made a Craigslist sale of $6 and the guy gave me an extra 25 cents.  I already put my $6.25 in my top surgery fund!  I am EXTREMELY happy!
