My biological psych professor included transsexualism in our sexuality and the brain unit.

That should be an interesting class!

I thought it was namely because so many people seem to think it's a choice. It was actually presented pretty matter of factly and fits in with what he was talking about. It is a course that focuses on the brain as a biological organ.

Put my financial side of life in better order today. Got a brand new 2014 econoboxmobile and should end up saving around 300-400 dollars a month to go towards my transition costs. Made me happy for securing my future but I still bawled my eyes out saying goodbye to my faithful and fun to drive previous car.

Yesterday, my lab group (we got an extra guy because his partner was absent) was a lot of fun to work with. Not only were they friendly and amusing, they also automatically used the right pronouns.

Some fellow students felt the same way as me about massaging and we paired up and practised while keeping each others triggers in mind.
The last class was really nice and I felt like the teacher likes me.
I'm having a week-long holiday to sleep!
My packer arrived at home so I'll get it tommorow.
And I had a calm open conversation about how my mom's triggers mix with my being transgender. She tried to deflect a couple of times but all in all a real victory.
So YAY great day!

I wrote this awesome parody of an AC song called "I sold Dotty Dog to a Chinese restaurant." :D :D

Sweet!  I did one to "Bad Medicine" a while back...
"Your dog tastes like baaad venison,
bad venison is what I eat,
Ooooh, cook him up just like baaad venison,
you got the recipe and I gotta eat."

Your welcome.  :)

I went out to see a burlesque show with my fiancee last night who has been feeling really horrible up until yesterday.  So glad to have her back in better spirits!  We wound up missing the show (thirty minutes after it was supposed to start there was still no sign) but we got out and about.  I introduced her to some people that the old me knew.  One of them gave me a *huge* hug and told me I looked beautiful.  Turns out her brother is now her sister, so my transformation is not a big deal at all to her.  She reminded me I'm "family" at that bar and asked me and my fiancee back.

Still smiling thinking about it. :)

Nothing out of th ordinary made me happy....but at least I can walk and I'm happy for that.  My vision may be getting worse but at least I can see.  At least I can hear and speak.  I'm happy for that.

Sorry, I wanted to post in this thread but I didn't have anything out of the ordinary to post.  I usually post in the unhappy thread so many times that the happy thread seems mystical to me.

My poor little kitty.  She hasn't touched her dry food in so long that it became moldy but I didn't notice.  I finally saw it, washed the bowl and filled it with fresh dry food.  She glommed it, I haven't seen her do that in years.  It's a good thing too, all that wet food is getting expensive.

When my dog gets lethargic about eating I know something's wrong and dump the contents of his bowl in the garbage and wash out the bowl thoroughly. I refill it and it disappears fast. I think they are more sensitive to the smell of decaying matter than we are.

In increasing order of wonderfulness:
1. A successful shopping expedition including a stop at the food quart for amazing bourbon-flavored cajun chicken.
2. I FINALLY completed my six month required post-ear-pierce period with posts. I put hoops in the for the first time. YAY!
3. Looking at the new drivers license I got yesterday. What's that it says in the box labeled Sex? Come on, Suzi, you can say it out loud. Yes, go ahead and say it.
