My fresh purple sparkly glitter manicure.  Age appropriate?  Meh...

It's cute and makes me happy though.

Yeah who cares anyway, if you want to be a youthful girly-girl, go for it! My wife does all that girly glittery, metal flake colors in OPI with hearts and she's only 66 years young and I'm proud of her.

How interesting! The thread 'What made you sad today?' gets my attention immediately. I rush in and start typing right away! This one, on the other hand - 'What made you happy' - I skip past with a dismissive sneer.

Sure it's been a tough ride, this life. Sure there are lots of things I can point to and say, 'Ouch!' But, know what?!?, there are also a lot of sunbeams in my life, too. And part of the task of living my life a little more fully involves recognizing this. And what do you know - here is a thread in which I can share such recognizing! Will wonders never cease!?!

Four things make me happy right now:
1. A light October sun,
2. The fact I am taking today off work,
3. The pot of tea steeping at my side,
4. Sitting down (in about two minutes time) to start into Joseph Boyden's 'The Orenda'.

I have had this title on my shelf for a couple weeks now. I have not wanted to start it because (a) I know it will push many other parts of my life to one side and (b) I don't want it to be over! Well life, get ready for some pushing. And, as for it being over, such is the fate of all things, I'm afraid.

I did the opposite to you! I started with the happy thread (and the half measure happy & sad thread), but totally skipped over the sad thread for a while. I'm an optimist ... which doesn't always serve me well ;)

It was yesterday, but this is the first chance I'd had to come here.

I had a date last night with another MTF. Just a simple thing. Dinner. Coffee afterward. But lots of conversation and laughs. Even a little kissing.

This happened Saturday but I didn't have a computer with net connection handy I couldn't post about it then, anyway some good news has occurred the one person I was most fearful to tell about my transitioning due fears they would reject me now knows. On Saturday my mum told my grandad and he is fine with it and says he will love and care about me no matter who or what I am. Also prior to my mum telling me she had told him when he left he said "look after yourself and see you later love". He may have said love before but this is the first time I registered it and given the conversation my mum had with him in hindsight makes it standout more.

Such relief.

Now can finally say that autumn has arrived. Wind, high levels of precipitations every day, and best of all:

Sunday: 25°
Monday: 20°
Tuesday: 15°

Time to take the long coat and hat!

I initially thought she was creepy but I mis-judged her, she is way more intelligent than most people are aware of too. Quite an amazing young lady!

i don't know how many of you are aware of horescopes, for those who don't know, its an astrological document which is compiled using your time of birth, and an astrologer can predict about your future and guess what kind of person you are by analyzing it. here everyone has a horescope, and once in a while we take them to an astrologer to see what's coming next in our lives. believe me, they become true most of the time.
i was worried about my horescope because it doesn't say anything about my trans status, except for the single sentence 'she will work like a man'. anyways, mom took mine to an astrologer last week and know what she had predicted? she had said a surgery was due for my upper body, that's waist up. mom had been worried that it could be something concerned with the heart, but the astrologer had said in a lighter note that it could probably be related to breasts! when mom related the story to me i was like 'yeah i'm planning on a top surgery' but couldn't say anything. guess it made me happy.

Interesting, i've never had a single one be spot on. That could be due to my planned birth date and actual birth date are on two opposite signs, or it could be because astrology is a pseudoscience.

Personally, I don't believe in astrology, but find it amusing. I like that mine is named after a war god.

I find it funny to compare what it says to what actually happens. It said I'd make an extremely profitable financial investment. The only thing I've bought today was coffee, not quite what it think I meant.

I had a wonderful conversation with my SIL online tonight. She claims to not understand, but she is very caring and understanding.

I also got a random "I love you" from my mother online. There was good to come out of my bad events from the weekend and perhaps they can start to see that I'm not just happy to be OOTC but having at least as difficult a time as they are with it.

I'm trying to not also get ranty ;).

Lately I've been finding so much personal gain from coffee that I'm starting to see losses -- time to sell, sell, sell (i.e. cut way back on coffee again). My usage has slowly ramped up since coming out.

My usage is only up because espresso is 3 times regular brewed coffee.
