Well from what I saw when I was down there alot came down presenting as male and wanted to come back to a fresh start presenting as female. They seem more into hiding. Like I said I tried to get some of them to do videos or something but so many of them are like I'm scared because it will cause me problems. I don't get it but I don't know it's there right to refuse to be known for going to see him for ffs. I didn't particularly care and its had no effect on my job or me ever getting a job. Also I just try to have people give him a fair shot because he can help and I have seen his work in some of these ninja stealth girls as I will call them. But in the end makes no difference to me. I got my FFS and I'm rocking it for well under 15k with no post op complications . As are those 10 other girls in hiding haha .

Regarding post-FFS "stealth", I've just recently started looking into surgeons...and thinking about the time off work. I don't mind telling the manager "why", but everyone else? imho, that'd just open up the gossip mill "omg, did you see her face?! And she paid how much for that? omg!!"

There's always going to be some a--holes who will actively cut others down for their choices, and whether it comes out good or bad, if they know all the details, that just gives more ammo.

Even though I'm pretty open about myself, when it comes to specific surgeries and outcomes, I'm probably just gonna say, "Well...how does it look?" when asked what I got done.

I understand the need to keep it all secret. It just seems so many people I have been able to meet that are going down there or have gone to Mexico want to just get the surgery keep it all under wraps. Idk why so many do that but yet alot of the young girls that go to the guy in Beverly Hills are so open?

Which one in Beverly Hills? Mayer or Alter? Both are uber-pricey... I haven't seen results from either in-person though.

I'm under the impression Beverly Hills is its own planet, where "normal" rules for private info don't apply...probably because the media and other nosey types are so prevalent, there's no choice but to be open and direct, the better to control information/rumors.

Of course, I could be wrong.

In LA there is no difference between seeing a hairdresser or a cosmetic surgeon. Regarding Dr Mayer is a very good doctor I have had a procedure done by him and I am very pleased with everything but I don't think he is a good option for radical changes...
  •

Tristan

I was talking about Mayer but both of them have young girls who dont mind giving him praise. they tend not to hide. in the end it makes no difference to me where people go and get their FFS. i got mine so for me thats all that counts. all i can do is tell people since im not one of the many who went to him who are now in hiding  :P

Hi there!
A word about Dr. Cardenas:
He is a very talented, artful plastic surgeon, that will soften your look...NOT TRANSFORM you completely.  That is called the Witness Protection Program!  lol!  He's starting to do more aggressive surgery to the face..(forehead) now, than he used to. (that is an option)  Everyone I've met or seen that has had him for FFS has been very complimentary work!  Each person, uniquely different.  He's not a 'cookie cutter' surgeon, as some are..where all the girls look similar.
Cost:
If you go to WWW.TransOp.com, he has the pricelist and packages available.  It's at LEAST half of what you'll pay in the states, for sure!
Guadalajara is their medical 'capital', where most of the colleges are, etc..  It's not the picture of Tijuana, that may be in your head.  :)
If you must have pristine hallways, and the no personality facilities like our hospitals..don't go here.

Overall, the work is good...lodging adequate...and food is GOOD.  They pick you up at the airport, get you settled.  Then you have a personal meeting with Dr. Cardenas, discussing whats going to happen. You usually spend one evening at the clinic, after surgery. (depending on the severity of the surgery), then back to the recovery center (townhouse) for the remainder of your stay.  They take you to any scheduled follow up appointments, and finally back to the airport to get back home.

The only drawback that I found is that the 'aftercare' is very limited, especially after you go back home.  So, even though THEY should be telling you everything you need to know about recovery, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND ASK QUESTIONS!  I think they need to improve in this area.  ANYTIME you have to travel anywhere for surgery, there can be drawbacks!  Possible complications, travel, time off work, etc..

Remember, this is a clinic!  Dr. Cardenas trains advanced students that he has hand-picked from the local medical schools in the area(2 per year).  They will be assisting with the work, and sometimes do the entire procedure...but under his watchful eye, of course.

Good luck, and happy hunting!

I think it's a bit unfair to say a certain Dr's aren't "As Skilled" just because the prices are cheaper.  I'm sure he see's so many girls he makes enough to not have to rob your pockets. You could spend 40k-50k on a well known Dr. and still end up not getting what you paid for. Expensive and popular don't equal better. I say thank god there's someone out there we can go to with out paying a small fortune.

The only thing that seems odd, as others have said, is there aren't more before & afters. For many people that's a major determining factor in who you choose. After all results are what people are seeking. Not many people will be convinced if they don't see the product before they buy.

As far as these super stealth girls Tristan mention I think it's crazy. I mean it's everyone's right not to put themselves out there but it has to be more outside the 7 she mentioned that's cool with showing before & afters. I for one would like to see them.

Ok this kinda scares me, I heard similar stories about Dr. Spiegel having students doing the surgeries while he instructs. I know the only way for them to learn and get exp is to do it first hand but I'd rather it not be on me, if i'm gonna spend lots of money then I want the surgeons who's advertised.

@Giselle - Maybe the "arent as skilled" remarks was a bit much but the before & after examples I saw on FFSsuport from Cardenas didn't look that good infact they looked rather unnatural like they had way to much plastic surgery, could be because they were old like in their 40's-50's idk. However a friend of mine went to him recently and she had a very masculine forehead (type 3) and her after results looked very good. I think regarding cardenas the skill is there but the results are "hit or miss".

To Poison Envy;

If your referring to one specific person that you saw..we all know who she is.  I assure you, that that 'plastic' effect that you reference about her is of HER doing!  Some people just can't be satisfied with a surgery, and find themselves back for more and more.  That would qualify as an addiction.

The 'students' he takes under his wing have already been certified plastic surgeons that are advancing their careers with Dr. Cardenas.  He DOES do the work, on most occasions and supervises when others are involved.

You need to do what YOU feel comfortable with.  I was very comfortable with Dr. Cardenas, and would recommend him to anyone.  I've seen many girls that had FFS with a very expensive 'well known' surgeon where the results were not as good as Dr. Cardenas.  You just have to go with who you feel comfortable with, bottom line.  Each experience is different.

Good luck with yours.

Dr. Spiegel's results seem to look more consistent. At the very least, I would rather have too little done than to have had too much done in a worst-case scenario.

Then again, I don't need to do too much, and I don't want to look like a different person. His prices are a little on the crazy side, but to consider something less expensive at the possible expense of my appearance is absurd (to me).

Remember they have already completed their five year residency post medical school and are surgeons also they have done the two years for plastic surgery. So by no means are they just starting . Just completing required hours to learns. And the FFS is done by him. Your boob job he might just instruct.

It is impossible for a doctor to perform the surgery all on his own. They all have other doctors involved in the team. The main doctor always does the majority of the work especially with private patients. So I don't know where do you see a problem with his assistants. Having assistants is a good thing.

If that's the case then I have no problem.  :P

I have gone to dr cardenas twice for facial fem.....I have had a major difference..... first time i went i did my forehead countering scalp advancement with browlift, rhinoplasty, cheek implants , jaw and chin done. Second time I redid my forehead lifted my eyebrows little more had another rhinoplasty , lip lift bucchal fat pad removed and switched out my saline implants to cohesive gel. I am going back to a 3rd facial fem surgery this year. I really love this doctor. He will do what you tell him to do. he take instruction well. However, i dont think his forehead shaving are the best compared to other doctors I went and had it redone and it looks better but i still wish he could been more agressive..... it looked a little lumpy and weird.... i think his weaker area is doing the forehead part whereas his stronger area is noses, chin/jaw/ etc

Yes I went once last year MAJOR improvements i did forehead, rhinoplasty, jaw, chin not to mention orchiectomy. but right now i'm considering a trip back to do cheeks. i dont know why i didnt do that before.... is everyone happy with the cheeks? I feel like it will aid in the overall symmetry of what i had done perhaps so i'm considering it and have sent in some pictures this morning for the doctors opinion. i think maybe cus of the orchi and everything i was only working with a certain amount of capital and just got what i thought most important done first. i feel like after the cheeks i'll be done. or maybe i'm a ADDICTED! lol jk
