Your face looks filled in to me  ???
"For transpeople, using the right pronoun is NOT simply a 'political correctness' issue. It's core to the entire struggle transpeople go through. Using the wrong pronoun means 'I don't recognize you as who you are.' It means 'I think you're confused, delusional, or mentally I'll.'. It means 'you're not important enough for me to acknowledge your struggle.'"

Yeah, really not seeing an issue hon. You have a very nice, feminine face shape to me. Nice cheekbones, nicely tapered chin, nice wide set eyes... I think you're worrying for nothing, hon.

Well thanks everyone but not really, it is still very skinny, like my nose bone is defined and my cheeks look really hollow from the side. My jaw also looks sharp. I wish it were filled out but it feels/looks just like it used to.  :-\ Wearing makeup helps a lot but it can't cover the overall shape of a skinny face.

I'm just wondering how long it took people to see a difference for themselves?

Well, obviously I can't answer your question. But really, I don't see anything out of the ordinary or anything but female looking at you. You look like a thin female which you are. Some people carry more fat in their face than others - this is true for males as well as females. I've seen fat males for whom you could never tell they were that heavy in their face. And this seems to be more true for 'pear shaped' males and females than others. Ever heard of Beccabae?  >:-)

Really, nobody is going to think anything hon. Your face is similar to many girls.

I don't see anything wrong with your face. My face isn't fat except for under my chin, I'll let you have some of it cause it really bothers me, especially in my profile.

What gets me is that It's not really fat. It just starts from my chin and goes  halfway down to my neck. Kinda sux though because My adam's apple is really small and doesn't need to be hidden. I don't even know if it would qualify as an adam's apple or just my voice box. I smoke so my voice reflects that but it's really easy for me to sound female without voice lessons. Even when I wieghed 140 in my younger days I still had the ugly 45 defree chin. I guess when I get older i get to look forward to the "waddle". Great, just great something else to worry about now.

Two years in, my face is still vampirish in this regard. :P

Of course, I haven't really gained much weight. I've had some minor success recently, but it's not easy.

I don't know about how it fills out in the long run but I started noticing my cheeks fleshing out some more at around two months. It may just be a layer of subcutaneous fat and not actual facial fat redistribution. I have always had some fat on my face though so our situations may be dissimilar. When I even so  much as smirk now, you can really see the difference.  I can certainly understand how you would want to see some changes even though you obviously look fantastic.

Well, part of it is going to be how much weight you are carrying.  If you are a real skinny-mini, it might be hard.  Think of the toned, athletic natal females, who don't have much in the way of body fat, no hips, no breasts, and thin faces.

You look lovely, really. Those "pudgy" legs make you look quite feminine and are an asset. Smiling always helps with the face fat. You may gain some further fat in your face eventually. You've been on HRT for a short while.

I didn't notice my face face fill out until recently and I'm about to be at my 2 year mark.
my dosages have also been raised more than once since i wasn't getting enough E

be patient! you look so cute in that picture btw.

@kelly darn. It smoothed out a bit though I thought right?

@joanna I think I maybe got like a tiny tiny thin layer because I at least look better in really harsh lighting than I used to but that's about it... maybe it is what you were talking about. You should let me know how it goes on HRT after more time :)

@Jamie D well I don't really think I am skinny. Honestly my legs are kinda pudgy...

Obv taken the same day...

So I don't know why my face isn't fuller :(

Your legs look fabulous to me girl. Nothing at all wrong with them and shaped good, but then again I have never been drawn toward the super skinny supermodel body type attractionwise, male or female.

I actually had a much rounder face pre-HRT; estrogen very quickly made all my face fat go away. Weird, I guess. I don't mind, though, since I personally look a lot more feminine with the higher cheekbones and smaller jaw/chin that losing the padding caused. :)

(And I'm overweight, if it matters.)

@celestica Thanks :) and awesome! That gives me hope. If ya don't mind me asking do you remember what kind of E level you were going for when you increased your dose? I do feel like mine has gotten better but will need 1 more increase too.

@Jess thanks, I am pretty okay with my legs as long as they don't become cellulitey, just not sure why my face gets none of it  :-\ I was always kinda bottom heavy without actually being pear shaped though.

You can keep that from happening very easily by walking. You can also do the exersise where you stand on your tiptoes and then back down. I try to walk faster than normal but not speed walking or anything. I have to say that one part of me that I like are my legs. I know what everyone says about the sun and so on but I like to tan and plus the natural output of vitamin D helps with depression. Not to mention a pair of white shorts look good.

Main facial changes occur between the 7th-10th month so you pretty much already have the face you'll be stuck with dear. Which is completely fine.

Well thanks, I'm still gonna look forward to 5-6 months from now though :P cause I refuse to believe my changes thus far were normal when I spent most of it at 700+ T. That would just be depressing :/

Thank you though, glad to hear a real timeframe!!

So basically you weren't getting the full effects you could from hormones for the past while. So that's good news! I'm excited for you girl :)

At the risk of sounding negative, I am really frustrated at someone as beautiful as you. Your avatar picture is that of a gorgeous woman. Your full body image is that of a healthy and outstanding young woman. WHAT is it that you hope to achieve that you haven't already. That your face be a little more ??? That your body be a little more ??? Your are smoking hot! Granted, I understand the desire for perfection at least as much as any woman can, but you are a WAY more beautiful woman than any woman in my +40 year experience can hope to be. Again, as I have posted elsewhere, I hope that I can achieve half of the beauty you have already achieved. Sorry, if I come on too strong, but you are a drop-dead beauty, I only wish that you could see you as I see you.

Christy.

Your young, your beautiful, what more does a girl really want???  If you really want a little more fill in the face, you can start working out – focus on legs, rear and the waist/lower stomach – tone those muscles as it will help later in life and will burn calories for the other part of the recommendation.  "Bounce" your weight – loose 10 pounds and then gain 10 pounds, then lose 10 then gain 10...over and over again.   The result could be or might be the redistribution of fat.  That has helped me some and I've heard that it has helped others. However, I really don't think you need to worry.  You are a "wow".
To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

@ChristyB: Thing is when you're passable right out the gate and simply looking like a woman is a non-issue. What is an issue though is being naturally "prettier" for a woman. I had sort of the same struggle.

Quit worrying.  In that photo you look like a lovely young girl, 100%.   :)

So....Relax about the face fat situation, and let nature take its course.  Your blood pressure will thank you, and you'll sleep well at night.
