Unfortunate? Why so? Do you have to be male to want a more masculine body?

I say unfortunately because I am vehemently against taking hormones for purely cosmetic purposes. I think most of the people here who do dabble with them do not even take into consideration the full extent of what they're doing and disregard their own safety for the sake of achieving this desired look of theirs.

I really don't care what you want to look like regardless of your gender. But I care that people will resort to less than safe means to do so. Hormones aren't cosmetics and they shouldn't be treated as such.
I help run a group called PinoyFTM for Filipino FTMs or FTMs living in the Philippines.

I am against it for "purely cosmetic reasons" but there are people who don't really "transition" who do take hormones and I think it is legitimate. There are people who do take them more for emotional reasons. They actually may have fairly significant dysphoria.
There's someone in a FB I'm on who wants to take T for some reason less than transition. Got a lot of rants and so forth-- actually may have more severe dysphoria than someone who will transition.
