My mom agreed to come to see my therapist who I am currently seeing and trying to sort out my issues with. I have yet to call but I will today to ask if my mom can come to the session on friday, my mom says she will come only if i also then later come to see a pastor who is supposed to talk some sense into me and has something to say about gender and identity.

My mom is still very much on the idea that all of this lgbtqqi stuff is demon interference with humans and I am going to just hope there is some shred of hope my mom will listen to the counselor. But she already said if she hears one thing that sounds worldy she is going to leave the session.

I know she loves me and is trying to look out for me, so here is hoping something positive will happen from the encounter. At least she is coming now. We had a big talk/argument where i kept insisting Im Transgender and I have to deal with my feelings. She then told me to ignore my feelings and give it all to God. Except that God gave me everything that I am, so to ignore any part anymore is just making me more depressed.

I have been very depressed but that is due to my medication just not working which I will have to see the doctor about next week. Please pray for me and direct your thoughts here for a while and offer me some kind advice.

I really really hope your mother will come around.  I've dealt with religious fundamentalists in the past (for different reasons) and sometimes it's like talking to a brick wall.  I've been told that I am going straight to hell for eternal torture simply because of my political affiliations. Many are set in their ways and are unable to consider different perspectives in life.  One angle you might want to use is to say that god made you and this is part of his plan.  I find that many deeply religious people are fatalistic and enjoy hearing that we all have a plan made by god.  If you can convince her this is part of gods plan for you, it might be easier for her to accept.  This would be a good move for your therapist to take.  I wouldn't focus the argument on the evidence supporting GID, but rather make it an emotional appeal to her spiritual beliefs.  She may just reject any evidence for your condition, but she likely won't reject this if you can convince her this is god's plan for you.

Once again, I wish the very best for you.  I hope she comes around.
