Joe.

I know I said about losing weight before, but I didn't stick to it as well as I could of. I found this amazing free app with lots of workouts on. I've started doing one of the easy work outs for 20 mins each day. I am aching like mad all over, it hurts to walk. I'm so unfit and although it hurts, I feel great at the same time. As they say, no pain no gain. Every evening I feel like I have accomplished something, I am aiming for 20 minutes of easy (really hard for me) workout for now and work my way up slowly as it gets easier. Is this the best way to get toned up and lose weight? Will I feel fitter by the end of June? This is my goal. Would going jogging alongside the workout help by much? I've never been active, so this is all new to me.  ::)

Do what you can when you're starting out without overexerting yourself. If you go to the point that it's hard to walk the next day you're going to start dreading exercise. Then you're going to eventually say screw it. It happens to me a lot. Then I quit and end up starting over again, lol.

Try to find something you enjoy doing. As long as you're moving continuously for an amount of time you've set it's going to burn calories. My problem is I've got a love/hate relationship with cardio. I'm thinking about just lifting weights three days a week and doing cardio the other two days. Muscle continuously burns fat so I figure even if I can't see my progress under the blubber it's still working for me. What have you been doing so far?

if youre goal is to lose weight, then yes, any extra cardio you do will cause you to burn more calories. Like the above poster said, you nee to start keeping an eye on you diet. track them with fitday or some other program.

Great for you Joey! Adding some jogging would help you loose weight, but take your time, it's better to get yourself in the habit of exercising and slowly building on more activities than suddenly doing a lot of activities and burning out, and eventually quitting.

You'll feel better by the end of June if you stick with it.  :D Though, if you're working out properly, no matter how fit you are, you'll be bound to feel sore on some days after some workouts. If you never feel sore, you're either extremely lucky genetically or you're not getting any more fit.  ;D
