Sephora is a favorite stop for me, if only to look around.
I sat down and learned about some very androgynous ways of using makeup.
I never went for a full makeover, just had them show me some awesome ways to use makeup.
I use it on occasion. It's fun for the most part.
To have the ability to use makeup without it looking like you're using it, is awesome.
It's surprisingly easy to change so much with so little.
If it makes you feel good about yourself, then by all means, have some fun.
Sephora's people made it fun to learn.
On all day shopping trips, it's usually a first stop kind of thing.
Always feels good to have it done with expertise, and makes shopping more fun.
As a shopaholic, how it makes it more fun, I don't know.
And I don't care, I'm shopping...

places like Sephora are so awesome, scary for the newbie like me but awesome. I decided to go on tax free weekend so the mall was packed, so I probably passed the store front like 20 times, but once inside the women in there were so nice. you just have to take the plunge, I did and the lady used this device to check my skin tone and matched me to my ideal foundation. Got a full make-over and she really went in depth on how to apply everything. Spent a little more than I expected *cough*$234*cough* but so worth it. The color technicians made it fun and really opened up, I felt like one of the girls. best purchase though was the amazing concealer, few dabs on my beard area and poof no more 5 o'clock shadow (once you apply foundation). the stuff really is amazing. Go to Sephora and take the plunge you'll thank your self. I was buzzing for days after that.

Can't say enough good things about my Sephora experiences.  Out of curiosity what brand of concealer are you using?  I'm using their Cover FX foundation and really like that; but the concealer I'm using (which didn't come from there) leaves a bit to be desired.  I'm assuming the device you talked about is their Color IQ system - my roommate and I were supposed to go today and have that done; but she had a rough night at work last night so we're going to go another day.  I am curious to see if it ends up matching the current foundation I'm using since that was recommended to me during a make over there a few months ago. :)

When i have my feminine moments; I wear maybelline define-a-line ebony black eye liner. Most ppl tell me i should use brown or blue since i have blue eyes but i never like the look much ^^'

Usually for eye shadow, i use a more blacks, whites, and silvers from Rimmel London. Blue shades from Revlon (since i cant seem to find any from Rimmel London ><')

I havent tried using foundation, concealers, or powders. Nor have i tried mascara.

Usually go with a black nail polish. It never lasts like i just had them done. Within a few hours its already chipping. Dunno if im using the wrong product or my work just messing with it.

If I do my own they seem to chip quickly.  Now if I go and have a gel manicure (sometimes with tips sometimes without) - it seems to last forever...

I'm a cosmotologist so I definitely use it all  :D

I also work at a beauty supply  ;D

Lately I've stopped the eye shadow too time consuming in the morning to get it right. I use primer, then foundation then powder for my base. I wear blush and draw in my eyebrows, for less dramatic effect on the brows I sometimes just use light brown eye shadow to fill them in. I use a ->-bleeped-<- ton of mascara lol, on both upper and lower lashes. I use an eye brightening pencil on my inner lower rim and I wear colored lip balm and sometimes light stains. I want to get more bold by wearing lipstick but I feel I need to feminize my wardrobe a bit before I go there. Oh and sometimes I wear bronzer, and lately I've been using a shimmer powder in a golden color on the highest part of my cheekbone and on my temples and eye lids for a simple but shimmery effect

Oh totally forgot nail polish, oh lord I have quite an obsession o.O

I have an O.P.I. 4 tier rack I got from work since we got all new replacements, best purchase EVER at 1 cent!!!!! It's practically full. I have over 280 polishes, I have some shellac/gel polish a UV light I have a nail station at home (and FYI I don't do nails professionally or for friends what not). I love all things nail art and I do my nails about every 2-3 days. And I make sure that they are perfect at all times, did I mention I'm obsessed??  :icon_joy:

What brand and product for the beard coverage? That is one thing I'm HATING right now, I do my makeup and look great and then afternoon my face looks all rough and I can't stand it.

Planning on starting laser soon, but would love something to help cover it in the meantime.  ;)

Harlow,
Seems like you have the corner on it! I was at Macy's and met a terrific looking gal who works at one of the cosmetic kiosks, her skin looked flawless, radiant and natural. She told me that she mixes her moisturizer with her foundation before applying it. I was so fascinated with her look that I had to back off because I think she thought I was coming on to her.

Haha, love it! I get that way too. I'm not attracted at all to women sexually, but the other weekend I was at the zoo with my sister and her kids. There was a concert there that evening and a girl was dressed to the nines!! Heels flirty dress etc, she was killing it. I was in awe, and staring and I whispered to my sister "Wow, she is freaking HOT!!" My sister agreed lol, sometimes people just look TOO good to not stare :P

So didn't mean to tripple post either lol, it's just one of my favorite topics XD

I use Cover F/X from Sephora it's pretty amazing. It is $45. I might start trying concealer too on the shadow area but Cover F/X is pretty thick and I am already overdoing it. But the other day I did and this was like eight hours after shaving and applying makeup and it looked great.

I love makeup too! I used to be a beauty editor for a local magazine. I used to get all this makeup delivered to me it was sooooo great. Gawd, I miss that job...and that swag!
