Sailor Moon is my all time t.v. show.  I loved watching Sailor Moon.  My name is even a tribute to one of the Sailor Moon characters and I plan on having my name legally changed to it at the moment.  I always liked Tuxedo Mask and Nepherite and cried at the episode "A Friend In Wolf's Clothing".  I recorded that episode and played it so many times that the tape broke lol.

Looking back on it now I have to say in my personal opinion Sailor Moon doesn't deserve to be the Moon Princess.  She was given waaaay too much credit and I felt that the other scouts were not given as much attention.  If I could change the storyline then Ami would have been the leader and she and the inner senshi would search for the rulers over their kingdom which would be Haruka and Michiru since I'm a big fan of theirs.  All the senshi would bow down to them.

Plus the scouts would all be Yuri pairings.  Ami x Makoto  Rei x Usagi Haruka x Michiru (of course!).  I have no clue what to do with Minako.  I guess pairing her up with Setsuna or just let her have Tuxedo Mask lol.  I see Setsuna more focused on helping with Hotaru and staying to herself.  Oh and Chibiusa would be erased from the show.  No more Sailor Moon Super S

I watched a few episodes when I was much younger, but it was quickly thrown into the "Witchcraft and Satan" pile of things I shouldn't be viewing.

I remember that Tuxedo Mask was a hawtie, and that it was a very fun show.

Also, nice necromancy Mal. :P

I think I watched one episode once. I was like 4-5... so mainly I was pretty into Sesame Street and Blue's Clues around then  :D

Then when I was 10ish... well, I guess Powerpuff Girls was my Sailor Moon  :D

Uuuuhm, nope. I was never very regular with watching TV, especially as a child (I turned on the TV, and "Aw, it's not the show I like right now. I wonder why I never catch it?") so I never came to know it, because it was apparently broadcast at a time when I wasn't watching TV. I learned of its existence at school one day, but wasn't interested any more than that. I don't think I've ever watched any of it.

I was a fan of Cardcaptor Sakura, though, and I was sort of sad that I couldn't watch it all. Season changes, dizzy-minded child, confusing schedules~

I'm happy this post came up as one of my first memories as a child watching cartoons is of another japanese show called Ranma 1/2. This is a story of a guy who, after falling into a magical pond along with his father, becomes the victim of a curse. The curse causes a transformation of their bodies whenever they come in contact with hot water: his father becomes a panda bear  ;D, and he (you guessed it) becomes a girl. A beautiful girl, I must say. This is one of my first memories of feeling like a girl that I can remember, and it took awhile to assume that I would never find that pond. I still wonder if the writer of the show did have those feelings too, if only supressed.
Be kind to me,
or treat me mean...
I'll make the most of it,

I used to watch Sailor Moon a bit as well, I suppose 15 years ago or so, but not that much.
It is fairly repetitive and it wasn't really my favourite.
However, I still remember many of the songs. I think I can still sing 15 or so Sailor Moon songs by heart :P

I have a special Sailor Moon playlist set up on my Youtube account with some of my favorite Sailor Moon tracks and instrumentals and I love to play them while I'm playing multiplayer on video games into my mic.
Sometimes I will sing to the songs (not in the mic lol) and notice I suck at singing.

If by necromancy you mean thread resurrection then thanks.   :P

I know what you mean by the whole witchcraft and satan thing.  My sister would use to knock Sailor Moon big time because she said "In the name of the Moon/{insert planet}"  instead of "in the name of Jesus Christ" and she said it was demonic because of that and the magic involved with the planets.  It didn't help my case either when I found out about Haruka and Michiru XD.  It did make me sad and confused after a while but I got over it.  It was one of the only things that made me happy.

I met my wife under the chat name of Saotome Ranma in an anime chat room. She chatted under the name, Eternal Sailor Moon. I was and still am a huge Ranma 1/2 fan.
<-- see costume under duster.

But I have a Card Captor Sakura doll, A Motoko Kusanagi doll from Ghost In The Shell, and a lot of other anime toys including Sailor Moon's compact and her Henshin rod. ^_^

Hehe... couldn't resist singing one of the Sailor Moon songs just then! The last series' ending song :P One of those I like the best!

Much of my life has revolved around Sailor Moon when I think about it.
It has greatly influenced my drawing style and got me interested in studying animation.
(I began drawing people anime-style in high school 12 or 13 years ago, and I'm still trying to shake that habit.)

Also, me being a social outcast in my younger years, I was naturally drawn to the type of close-knit friendship among the Sailor Senshi. It was the kind of friendship I wish could have had growing up.
Honestly, one thing that helped me get through some tough times in life was being part of the community of a Sailor Moon fan website, which worked just as well for me.

My favorite girl in sailor moon was sailor Jupiter.

Your parents didn't want you to be an intellectual genius who studied all of the time, got good grades, and knew how to take control of a situation when needed? LOL

just a random question, did any of you ever watch Sailor Moon when you were younger? my cousin just bought the whole dvd set (she's not an anime geek ) but she likes it and i recall me and her watching it when we were younger.... some of my family members didnt like that i watched it with her cuz it was suppost to be a girl's show. Anyway that show just made me wanna be a girl even more haha

I watched that show a lot when I was in 7th grade.  It was actually the first anime I saw.  Well... if you don't count DBZ

Just a few episodes. Other cartoons that were more acceptable to my parents & friends were on afterwards every weekday. I always thought the outfits were a bit out there but looking back on the comic books and other cartoons I watched I'd have to go with "not so bad after all".

Did anyone else secretly fill in all the plot holes in the boy cartoons you watched? Like what do they talk about when there isn't a mission and what are their relationships really like? I mean its not like many of the GI Joes or Transformers ever really talked about their problems or even what they planned to do after the latest star scream/cobra commander blunder.

I watched it all the time when I was a kid. I was blonde and ditsy so I related well to the show. My mother never wanted me to watch it much, but she figured that I was a typical boy and wanted to watch them in their skimpy outfits, so she let me watch anyways.
I dunno... I was normal, throughout my life, until I turned 4 and realised that I shouldn't be called a he.
