I'm a guy, I can double cross legs, and other non-male traits

So, as the title says, I'm a guy and I can double cross my legs! I read that double crossing your legs is supposed to be impossible or insanely difficult for guys, yet it's super easy for me! I don't stretch my legs or do any kind of stretching often at all, I'm just able to do this!

Since my very earliest memories I've wanted to be a girl, it's not so much that my life is torture or anything, but I've just always wanted to be a girl instead, perhaps the double crossing ability comes from this? I didn't get a lot of masculine features which I'm glad about. My index finger and ring finger are the same length when measured from the bottom crease, which I think is supposed to be a female trait (I'm not too sure about that)? My hips are also noticeably wider than my waist and I don't have nearly as much body hair as other guys I know. I'm wondering, maybe wanting to be the opposite sex makes you develop opposite sex features/stops development of the features of your own sex?

That's a very interesting theory? Either way it sounds like you lucked out in some good areas. I know many girls both trans and generic that would kill for hips.

I kinda doubt that, LOL.  ;)

"Wanting" < "hormones + genes"

But no matter what...you want to be a girl, you're in the right place (physically and internet'ly)! Welcome here!

Hi AgendaDysphoria, welcome to Susan's Place. Finger measuring is very popular here, you'll have plenty of company, and hundreds of threads to browse. See you around the site, hugs, Devlyn

That's pretty interesting actually, my face looks similar to the one in the middle, as I stated in my first post, my index and ring fingers are the same length, and the picture in the middle is of a face where this is the case I believe?

I don't know about the finger ratio theory too much, but I think that is something best to be ignored. The fact is there are lots of different trans women and they may not fit into that physical  description. Even if more transwomen have this trait, it doesn't really describe what makes us trans or if we are trans. Also, crossing your legs is something that everyone can do and it isn't difficult to accomplish.  Hip sizes can vary greatly between people of both genders.  For some reason, I've always had more feminine hips (imho).  Natural body hair is another thing that differs between transwomen just like it does with men.  Some are hairier than others.

Personally, I think the only real qualifier for one's identity is how they feel and how they seem themselves.  Physical traits don't really get to the meat of the matter.  While it's possible that trans women naturally inherit more feminine appearances, I'm pretty doubtful that has any real truth behind it. I've seen transwomen of all different shapes and sizes.

Just to add, the ratios for those images are 1.094, 0.984, and 0.874 respectively.

Being at 0.971 myself, I nevertheless find myself taking a lot more after the picture on the left, in particular when I look at old photos of myself as a kid.

No, it does not work that way.  If it did, there would be no need for SRS/GCS/GRS.

"Double crossed legs"

Looks to me it has to do with muscle mass in the hamstrings and quads.

*cough* Also has to do with the "positioning" of parts within skinny jeans... *shifts around uncomfortably in chair*

So, naturally, I tried this. Piece of cake.

I use to be able to double cross my legs  :)  It was one of the things I was made fun of for in school  :P  Now age and injuries have caught up to me and so I'm happy that I can cross my legs at all

I can't do it.   :(

Not even close.  But I have thighs like and NFL fullback   >:(

Haha, I had never thought of this... just gave it a try and I can do it! Though I have to say that it gets much trickier with my left leg and I have to shift around a bit to get it to work...

On the subject of fingers, my index finger is a tad bit longer than my ring finger, really barely noticeable, I always thought they were the same size?

Welcome aboard!

...Interesting theory, but unfortunately, I doubt it.
Wanting something doesn't change genetics;
If it did, I wouldn't have boobs, or hips, and I'd have a penis...
So...As much as I wish that theory were plausible ^^;

I can, but it seems backwards to me. Girls have bigger thighs, doesn't it make double crossing the legs more difficult?

Regardless, this of all things doesn't make me feel girly, but I'm glad someone thinks it does.  ;)  ;D

Different hip joint angles?

re: "it doesn't make me feel girly...." It's easier for me if I'm laying down, like on a bed...with a partner...it does wonders for the many-faceted orgasms that we can have...

I actually remember seeing News anchor for today show "matt lauer" do the double leg cross. !
I think it because he is vary tall.  I am short with muscular legs and cant even cross them once!! Forget  about twice!
A mans gotta do what a mans gottta do.. Even if it's being a woman!

Humm yea.... I was somewhere inbetween the left and middle... no clue though really lol I haven't seen my childhood pics in a long time, I just always had a heart shape face, though on the other hand a kinda low hairline maybe? And my ratio is just over 1

I think the digit ratio stuff is interesting in a kind of medical curiosity way, even though it doesn't really apply to anyone's real life :)

I am not even gonna comment on the double crossing thing though lol, sorry but that seems really silly to me :P

me too. 1.03 ratio over here and somewhere between left and middle. sooo interesting! Thanks for posting that link :D

I can double cross my legs as well. It's not really a female trait so much as it is a feminine one, to be honest.

It's pretty cool though. Kind of comfortable.
