Do you pee standing up?

For pre-op and non-op girls, do you ever pee standing up?

Eww! No! I'm a girl. Girls sit down.
Only when I really need to.
Sure, all the time. As long as I'm stuck with this thing, I might as well use it.
I'm not pre-op/non-op but I want to see the results

I had an internal battle about this.

Will it break the feminine story I'm trying to construct? Will I do put my self-esteem down by not acting femininely?

In the end I decided I'll just do what's comfortable for me. And hey, while it's there, why not get the single available good use of it? So for a while now I haven't used urinals because I don't want guys seeing my thing - but I do stand up. Don't worry about spills, I'm freakishly clean in these matters. I even wipe the floor if I cause a drop haha.

I did never like to pee standing up, since my teenage I started to pee while sitting and do it till now. The only exception is the dirty bathrooms like the public disgusting man bathrooms, in these I stand up.

I mostly sit. Always have. Sometimes I stand because it's fast and convenient. I bet some cis women wish they could do that too.

Sitting is always so much neater, especially in a small bathroom. I was in the ER recently on my back all wired up for an EKG, my jeans still on and zipped and one of those backless gowns on when the nurse hands me the little plastic urinal and asks me to pee for her. "Uh - really? Listen darlin do you think you can find the little thing and get it out for me? I'm really quite indisposed at the moment!"  :D

Mac1 : Why wouldn't you be able to wipe?  I'm thinking of getting one of those doohickeys because I love hiking and biking and peeing in the woods is MUCH more challenging now. But trust me, you can wipe a vulva without sitting down on a toilet. :)

One of my girl friends laughingly uses the drip dry method in a pinch!

Shantel : Heck, even that's a little hardcore IMO. :) Just tuck some paper into the panties, if we must, and it'll "wipe" down there better than dripping into the underpants (ew!)...

I agree with you in principle. However, how do you plan to do it through the fly opening in your jeans? I think you would almost have to pull down your jeans and panties inorder to wipe properly.

I used to stand at home and sit in public. Now I sit all the time. Standing actually seems really weird now. o_0 I'll admit, it'd be more convenient sometimes though... :-\

Mac1 : Ah, I see what you're getting at. I don't know of any women personally who pee through the fly, even with one of those devices; it might be technically possible, but it's too likely to get messy. So yeah, the pants still get pulled down a bit (or the skirt pulled up, I suppose).

That makes sense.

This^^___^^ is how I'll handle the wiping when I'm out enjoying the great outdoors and I have to squat to pee in the woods after SRS. For now tho, I'm able to wipe while squatting if necessary. I feel the same way, drops of pee in panties = ew!, lol!

She was a former SFC in the 25th Infantry Division and originates from the back woods of South Carolina, guess that says it all.  :D

Thanks. :)

Also, sitting to pee while wearing heels is... a bit strange and awkward. o_o Just sayin'.

I've done it sitting down my whole life (unless I had no other choice)... I just told people I was lazy and would rather sit lol  (they didn't need to know, sitting down just felt more natural to me)

I was of the belief (and still am to some extent): What's the difference? Doesn't change who I am.

However, the past couple weeks I've started only sitting to pee. My thought process isn't that it feels "right" (it's really more that I don't care either way), but that I'm wanting to do as many feminine things as possible so I can feel more comfortable when I finally do start hrt and go full time. It seems kind of silly, but I'm trying to train my brain and get rid of the toxic thoughts by doing small things like that.

Doing it standing in heals might even be more awkward. You know tht most girls sit, and they wear heals.

As far back as my memory goes, I've always urinated sitting down. Ewww peeing standing is just not me! However, if anyone else feels comfortable standing, go for it, you're no less female! :)
